This week we have been joined with 4 members of the hospice at home staff, they have been working along the staff at Cavendish Court to experience life in a care home.

At Windmill Court we are very lucky to have a regular visitor in Dude the rescue pony.  Dude lives at the HUGS Foundation and takes his regular visits in his stride.

Residents at Clumber Court Care Home had a fabulous afternoon when Jess visited to sing songs from the forties and fifties. it involved lots of singing, dancing and flag waving!

Lovely time had by families and residents at Clarendon Court's Friday wine & cheese party. Plenty of food for everyone and lots of big smiles filled the room. 

The end of December and beginning of January have been jammed packed with fun activities inside and outside of the home.

In the beginning of January residents had a small gathering of thanks to celebrate Cassie the dogs life and all that she gave to the residents here at White Rose Lodge and other homes locally.

Bowerfield House celebrated Burns Day with the residents creating arts and crafts work using tartan papers and symbols such as the flower, the Scottie dog, fabric and songs.

Here at Rosedale Nursing Home we believe that food is the key to a happy home and we believe our standards in the kitchen are high which includes not only the food we serve but also the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen at Rosedale. This is something our Head Chef, Maya Limbu, has taken

A massive thank you to the team at Nutanix who made Christmas extra special for our residents at River View Care Home in Reading with a large delivery of presents.

On the 12th November  Katy from EL Pony Therapy came to visit The Moors Care Centre with her a 10 year old American miniature horse called Monet. The white and brown blue eyed horse visited most of the residents in the home.

On the 17th December we held a day to raise money for the Alzheimer's society by dressing up as elf’s for the day and participating in games with many treats to go around. We had guess the name of the elf teddy, pick a number to win a prize, there was a tombola and an ongoing raffle.

The Christmas season is well under way at Bowerfield Court. We have been busy with activities, events and outings with much more to come in the weeks to follow.
