Our first attempt at planting strawberry seeds using the knowledge of one of our residents who has grown lots of fruit and vegetables.  We googled how to grow strawberries form slicing the seeds from a ripe strawberry and laying in compost.  This is the first time she has grown strawber

Residents of Ashfield Court Care Home had a great afternoon flipping pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. We asked our residents how they’d like their pancakes and a few said they’d like to have a try at making their own. 

It was a special outing for one of our resident's Audrey as it was the first time she was feeling up to going on one of our Wednesday outings. She used to go to Disley Community Centre every week for cuppa and chat and would bake cakes for everyone and help out in the kitchen.

On Valentines Day Howgate House residents enjoyed a good old singalong with percussion instruments.

The shakers were homemade out of old plastic bottles with dried corn, peas and beans. 

Fun afternoon enjoyed by all. 

We are so proud at Abingdon Court Care Home, three of our Senior Health Care Assistants completed a one year program to become Care Practitioners and graduated on 28th January 2020.  

It’s always sad when we have to say goodbye to one of our residents but what made it more bittersweet was that George Smith had a birthday coming up.  His family contacted us after the funeral and donated some money so that George’s good friends at Earsdon Grange could have a tea party in hi

We celebrated Valentines Day in style with tea, cakes and fizz at Windmill Care Centre in Slough. 

Residents at Clumber Court enjoyed a recent visit from Keeley, who came to sing 1950's hits. She was dressed for the occasion ready for lots of dancing with our residents in her 1950's dress.

This week we have been joined with 4 members of the hospice at home staff, they have been working along the staff at Cavendish Court to experience life in a care home.
