The residents enjoyed International Women's Day with a Rose Afternoon Tea. They enjoyed a selection of cakes, biscuits and pastries served with teas and coffees, while they were reminiscing about inspirational women in their lives.

Today we had a go at making bread in a bag. We had great fun with the dough squeezing and trying to get it all to come together. Took a while but residents did enjoy.  We chatted about home baking and all the things they used to bake at home.

The Wharf team have introduced 'Jelly Drops' into our home much to our residents delight.  They have gone down an absolute treat, they've definitely got the thumbs up.  Jelly Drops are a unique hydration product developed to boost daily fluid intake.

To celebrate British Pie week here at Manorhey we prepped and baked our favourite pies including chicken and leek, cheese and onion and a meat pie. We must say they were lovely and we really enjoyed them, cheese and onion was the chosen favourite of the day.

We've had a heart warming month here at Bowerfield House. We held a coffee morning for World Cancer Day, raising money for the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in Stockport. We enjoyed a fabulous Chinese meal cooked in house by our chef for Chinese New Year.

This afternoon at Manorhey our residents enjoyed one of their favourite performers who entertained them with a variety of rock and roll classics via a virtual concert. The residents had a brilliant time dancing the afternoon away with residential friends and staff members.

Poppy did some beautiful flower arranging with the residents this afternoon. They helped put together a new tub of flowers for our conservatory. They certainly brighten up the room and are lovely to look at.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day here at The Moors, with residents drawing hearts, making cards and having a lovely lunch with the tables decorated beautifully. Our favourite activity was passing round the balloon and whoever caught it shouted out something they loved.

Shrove Tuesday was a huge laugh here at The Moors! We ate delicious pancakes for lunch and the brilliant chefs even made us some extras to have a bit of fun with! We had pancake 'races', competitions for the highest flip and the best catch just to name a few - even the staff got involved!

As this week was national spa week we invited our residents to come and enjoy spa treatments of their choice, some of the pamper treatments included wash and blow drys, manicures, hand and facial massages which each resident chose by preference.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, the year of the ox, residents gathered together for a Chinese food tasting. They tried different curries, including sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and noodle dishes. They also sampled our home made spring rolls which were said to be absolutely splendid.
