The Devonshire care home, located in Reading, is celebrating a ‘Good’ rating in all areas after a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
Our fantastic 137 bedded home provides nursing and dementia care. The recent review found it to be ‘safe’, ‘caring’, ‘effective’, ‘responsive’ and ‘well-led’ after an unexpected visit from five CQC inspectors.

Buckingham House rated ‘Good’ following latest CQC inspection
Following their October inspection, Buckingham House Care Home is once again rated ‘Good’ across the board, with inspectors having assessed across the ‘Safe’ and ‘Well-Led’ categories.
Congratulations Chartwell Manor
Following an inspection this summer, the 61-bed care home, open since September 2022, was recognised as safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
The October CQC report highlights the home’s compassionate staff and ‘positive and friendly culture, adding: “Throughout the time spent at Chartwell Manor Care Home, we observed people being treated with dignity and respect. Staff treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion. People were supported to live as independently as possible.”
