We had a lovely day in November when Emily came into the home to sing for us. The residents have really enjoyed themselves singing along and clapping to the songs they knew from last year.

Last week our Hospitality Services Manager, Phil, brushed off the cobwebs to support our amazing catering team with Baking delicious cakes for our Residents.

The 1st December meant only one thing......tree dressing!

We sang and danced to festive tunes and we even had a little count down before doing the light switch on.

We had a lovely day in Yohden for elf day. We had a tombola, and the residents were excited to win prizes. We had sing along and watched the movie elf.  We raised £155 for Alzheimer from the home.

We received these wonderful teddies from Susan Trotter who thought they may benefit our residents. Thank you so much for thinking of us. We absolutely love them, and they were delivered to their new homes the same day.

Our Christmas elves have been creating gorgeous Christmas Wreaths at the home.  Our lifestyle coordinator, Stacey used to be a florist and has been helping the residents create wonderful Christmas gifts for families and friends.  To see the finished product, have a look at our Facebook

Christmas has come to Earsdon Grange and our residents had a fabulous time decorating the tree in the home and deciding where to put the tree and which ornaments to have on each one.

Both staff and residents have been working hard to make Belvoir Vale look festive.

It's scrabble time at Kents Hill today and our Residents love playing the game whilst chilling in the lounge listening to some Christmas hits! Happy Friday!

It was the first of our Christmas activities today - it’s that time of year already! Our residents enjoyed making Christmas cards today ready to give to family and friends. They enjoyed using paint and adding some sparkly sequins!

Some of the residents at Hope Green had been talking about how they used to love knitting. Terms like 'casting on' 'casting off' and 'cable' were being used freely and to the amazement of those who had never knitted before.

Music always brings Joy to our residents and we have always loved using our record player for some our favourite oldies especially Elvis Presley but we decided to add to our music collection and our new technology friend 'Alexa' arrived this week.

Christmas has arrived at Bowerfield House, we have all enjoyed putting our Christmas decorations up inside and outside our home. They are looking amazing and all staff, residents and their families have commented on how lovely the home looks.

On a crisp November day, we were really fortunate to welcome The Moving On Choir to River View.

While the choir sang beautifully, the people living with us and their guests joined along in the singing, which was a really heart warming experience for us all.

Some of our residents really enjoyed getting creative and making bath bombs. We had lots of different shaped moulds to choose from, this heart shape created by Vera was the most successful. She also had fun trying it out.

Here at Hope Green we enjoyed some lovely cups of hot chocolate with luxury toppings of cream, marshmallows and chocolate sprinkle toppings. Just the thing to warm us up on a frosty morning.
