Dough Sculptures

Today a group of residents made some dough sculptures. They added scents to them to engage the senses and added parts of leaves and plants to decorate them and to make a link to nature at a time of year when it’s not so easy to get outside.

Bingo

Our lovely residents enjoyed bingo afternoon in the lounge, they enjoyed 3 games of bingo, we played for a line and then a full house on both games, everyone was really happy to be involved and was concentrating on the numbers so they didn't miss any, warm and cold drinks of their choice were served during bingo afternoon.

Photo Shoot at Water Royd

Some of our lovely residents enjoyed one to one activity's, we had a lovely chat and giggle, during the one to one our residents had a photo shoot. One of our ladies in the photographs enjoyed a nice facial and was really happy and quoted "it is nice to get a pamper"

We had a great afternoon dipping fruit in the chocolate fountain!

Bonfire Night Artwork

At Hope Green the residents enjoyed creating beautiful artwork for bonfire night, exploring the changing colours of magical scratch art to draw some spectacular fireworks.

Sugar Awareness Day at Deepdene

On Sugar Awareness Day, we chatted about sugar and its origin, we then played the game * how many teaspoons of sugar *  in a number of food items.

We had a lot of fun as always.

Pumpkin Carving at Deepdene

What is Halloween without pumpkins?  We set to work at Deepdene creating the most fantastic pumpkins.  Its was so much fun.

The recent Halloween party at Deepdene was amazing. The staff team gave everyone living in the home their best Halloween catwalk show.  There were prizes for the best dressed ghouls or witches with some well-deserved prizes.

Masquerade Ball at Brunel

This year we held a masquerade ball for Halloween. Residents spent lots of time creating their masks and costumes prior to the day. There was live entertainment from Andy T, we all had an absolute blast.

Diwali Festival at Allingham House

Allingham House is an international environment where people all around the world work together giving the best of themselves to deliver the best caring assistance to our residents. For that reason, we like to include our residents on popular festivals in other countries. A perfect opportunity for the residents to enjoy different activities and learn a bit more about different traditions in other cultures.
