Activities at Brunel
Two of the favourite events we enjoy at Brunel is the evening pub quiz. Lots of people who live at Brunel like to participate and all enjoy a social chat over a drink once the quiz ended. On other days the smell of fresh bread drifts throughout the home and the residents enjoy this with their evening soup on those chilly nights.
Shirley, Eileen , Veronica, Patsy, Terri, Mary, David and Colin joined the Oomph live for the first time. We suggested songs with a disco theme and had a really great time meeting Kaiya.

Lest We Forget
In preparation of Remembrance Day, those living with us at Wyndham Hall enjoyed crafting poppies and spending time talking about the different roles they did during the war. One of our residents who is 100 years old was in the land army and generously shared her experiences with the group.

Ghosts Ahoy!
Some more photos of the amazingly spooky ghostly decorations that the people living with us at Wyndham Hall made to celebrate Halloween around our home.

Blooming Marvellous
We had such a fantastic trip to Flowerland in Bourne End last week. Our residents who came on the with us each chose a beautiful pot plant to give to their loved ones. They were amazed at the variety of colours and varieties of plants on display.
A trip to Flowerland would not be complete without a pitstop at their wonderful cafe for homemade cakes and pots of tea.

Goulish Celebrations
Buckingham House was filled with Halloween antics recently
Those living with us were kept extremely busy preparing and decorating the pumpkins for our Halloween celebrations and then enjoyed the delicious seasonal pumpkin soup prepared by our catering team.
A GOULISH time was had by all

Fulmer Riding Therapy School
Our lovely residents who live with us at Buckingham House were treated to an exciting trip to Fulmer Riding Therapy School. They were introduced to Freddie one of the horses at the school and were taught how to care for him.
After the excitement of meeting the horses, they were treated to a lovely afternoon tea during which the team at Fulmer chatted to everyone about the work they do with the horses at the school.

Armistice Day at Birch Heath
For this years Armistice Day everyone at Birch Heath Lodge participated in two minutes silence to pay respect for all those who served in the armed forces.
It was a touching moment to see everyone come together and show their admiration and support.
Personal experiences and memories were shared over a cup of tea.

Food Tasting
Food tasting at Hope Green was a real fun activity session and we're looking forward to doing more of these as our residents and staff are absolutely loving them. Seasonal apples were sliced and tasted along with chocolate, golden syrup, sprinkles and sunflower seeds. Melted chocolate with sprinkles was a definite favourite though.

Get Fit Exercise
Our lovely residents enjoyed our get fit exercise in the afternoon, this included full body exercises with Pom Poms. This activity was really enjoyed, one lady quoted “we needed this” after the exercises they enjoyed a nice cup of tea.
Remembrance Day at Hope Green
A morning of reflection on Remembrance Day was a great way to celebrate peace and what that looks like in our world today. Residents and staff enjoyed poppy crafts and putting together displays of remembrance through the home. Looking at poems and music about poppies and Flanders Fields prompted interesting stories being shared too, sometimes emotional but always shared with respect and acceptance. A great way of connecting together on this special day
