Remembering Our Friends

We spent the day remembering the folks we have lost, we started the day with a memorial service. Following we hung our first pictures on our new memorial wall. In the afternoon we laid the rocks we painted in honour of our favourite gardener and self professed grumpy old git and remembered the joy each of these wonderful people brought to our lives.

1st July

Happy Friday1st July indeed. The Kitchen is in full swing. Chef Cecelia is leading out her team today seen preparing cupcakes for this afternoons tea. Chef Juvenal is frying the fish, and kitchen assistants Anjana and Scott are supporting their team.

They have a demanding role keeping the many tummy's full at River View, and all the staff love it when the Chefs try out their new recipes on them. A delicious day for sure.

Congratulations Dammi

Congratulations DAMMI. River View is really proud to announce that Dammi has won the 'Hospitality Hero' award in this year’s MMCG Annual Care Awards. She joined the company in 2017 and moved to River View 2019. She has made her presence known to all and strives to continually achieve. Thank you for being such a brilliant team player and looking out for the team as well as the people who live at River View to receive the best that we offer.

Rock Painting

Betty, Frank and Ruth really enjoyed getting out in the fresh air and doing some rock painting that our new Lifestyle Coordinator Becky, brought back from the seaside.

Summer Party

Our staff summer party was a great success and enjoyed by all. As well as bouncy castles, we had lots of delicious food, along with a visit from the ice cream van.

Kathleen, our Home Manager presented the Employee of the Month award to Stephen from our Hospitality team, who has received glowing feedback from everyone living in the home as well as family members and staff.

WHO NEEDS GARDENER?

In Amber Court we don’t need a gardener. Our Staff and residents take good care of our lovely garden and making sure that it is well groomed. In line with our Gardening Club, we have a weekly activities to plant and maintained our garden as beautiful as much as possible. Look how this garden change from the beginning of spring until today. Our residents are very happy to be involved in taking care of their home.

4th of July

Having an American as Lifestyle Coordinator creates lots of interest in American holidays and traditions. Our residents celebrated 4th of July just like true blue Americans. We watched fireworks, had sparklers and enjoyed mocktails.

Appreciation Day

We celebrated Appreciation Day at Allingham House, a special occasion to say thank you to all the staff that works in our home. They give the best of themselves to deliver the best caring and professional experience to our residents everyday.

Thank you very much! You are just the best guys!

Just Bowl Project

Our Lifestyle Team had the bespoke training module delivered by a qualified staff member from Just Bowl, the new great project that introduce new ways to move and exercises to those people living with us, whilst also involving the wider team and having much fun ! We can not wait to show our residents and staff the new games to enjoy all together.

Spanish Night

Our residents and the staff enjoyed our Spanish night. The food was excellent, it included tapas, paells / crème brulee and chocolate cheesecake.
