Stay Safe

This week at Croft House we received some letters from the children at Flushdyke School to our residents. The letters were wishing them well and to keep safe. There were four letters from different children of all ages telling our residents how they were still at school because their parents were important key workers and were helping people during this uncertain time.

The residents were very pleased with the letter and enjoyed looking at the pictures that the children had drawn for them.

With love from Ashfield Court

Ashfield Court Care Home on Tewit Well Road in Harrogate were delighted to receive a parcel from the children of Grove Road Primary School.

The children had taken the time to draw some lovely pictures and write some letters to our residents and what an amazing surprise it was for them.

Alice In Wonderland Tea Party at Troutbeck

Staff and residents had a brilliant afternoon at Troutbeck Care Home when they held an Alice in Wonderland themed Tea Party.  Some of the staff wore fancy dress and we had a fabulous Cheshire cat cake made by our talented activities lady. We are all looking forward to the next tea party.

Letters from Greenfield Community College

Here at Rose Lodge Care Home in Newton Aycliffe we have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown by our local community and especially receiving letters from local schools and colleges for the residents.  We received a lovely letter this week from Greenfield Community College and of course we had to write back to them.

Visit to Pusto Farm for Clumber Court

We went through the countryside looking at all the animals in the fields. We arrived about forty five minutes after leaving but it was a lovely journey and the residents seemed to enjoy looking out at the views. Before we got out of the bus we wrapped the residents in blankets to keep them warm. We where then taken to a stable where there were baby lambs and Jean the farmer told us all about the lambing and how the ewes look after the babies.

Rosedale Cake and Chatter

Rosedale Care Home in Catterick Garrison have been looking at new ideas of things to do in the home during this period of lockdown and one of the great ideas we had was to hold a weekly coffee morning. We held our first one in March and our residents had a fabulous time.  We started off with an introduction to ourselves and how old we were in 1974 as this was the year we decided to talk about, what job we had and memories from this year.  Everyone had such great stories and one of our residents had been a miner down the pit in Bishop Auckland working with the Pit Ponies and t

Reminiscing Afternoon for Residents at Cavendish Court

Residents at Cavendish Court love the new themed area in the home where they can enjoy reminiscing about different era's including 50s,war and Gatsby, which are all topics chosen by the our residents.
