Our Interactive Activity Table has arrived !
We are absolutely thrilled to have taken delivery of an OMNI Interactive Table which we have really enjoyed using over the Christmas period.
The wide choice of activities and games on the table are a real success with us here at Buckingham House, as they are specially designed to bring us all together in an activity through touch, sight and sound, whilst the colourful soothing projections help to unwind and relax.

Kiddleydivey Visit
The Christmas visit by Kiddleydivey to Buckingham House provided a really fun-filled session for everyone who joined in with the songs and moving along to the seasonal music.

Kingsbury Court Art Group
Kingsbury Court was brimming with Christmas decorations this year, many of them decorated by our very own creative art group, who spent several jolly hours decorating baubles and pictures that were displayed across our home.

Poppy and Jed Visit Kingsbury Court
Just before Christmas we had a lovely visit from Molly with her horses Poppy and Jed, to the delight of everyone at Kingsbury Court.
It was a joyous and emotional experience for many to be in such close contact with the ponies, many for the very first time.

Visit From Father Christmas
Hope Green had a very special visitor, Father Christmas himself! He took some time out from preparing for the big day to visit our residents and brought with him some lovely mince pies, the residents and staff were surprised and delighted to see him. Smiles, laughter and an impromptu sing along filled the hallways with festive cheer.

Afternoon Of Music
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music thanks to the Napa Connect by Candlelight concert. The residents swayed, clapped and sang along with the music while being surrounded by lanterns making for a lovely Christmas atmosphere.

Elf Day Donation
How fantastic that the staff of Clarendon Court were able to raise funds for this wonderful cause whilst having such a fun day with our residents.

Christmas Dinner at Hope Green
Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings was enjoyed by residents and staff with a glass of Bucks Fizz. Residents had been carefully making their own table mats with festive pictures and these had added to the beautifully decorated tables but also created lots of conversation too. The pictures chosen on the laminated place mats included traditional snow scenes and carol singers but also words used in the readings from our carol service. It was great to listen to lots of chattering about them whilst the Bucks Fizz was poured into glasses along with party hats for everyone.

Dancing at Bridge House
We have some nifty movers at Bridge House, sometimes you just need to get up and dance.

Relaxing Pastimes
Some of the favourite relaxing pastimes at Bridge House are, flower arranging, jigsaws and mindful colouring. All are therapeutic and you find you can often put the world to rights over a cup of tea and chatter at the same time.
