1950s Party at Allingham

We love any excuse to organise a party and make the residents enjoy themselves and we love to make sure they are having a good time here in our home. The first week of the month we remembered one of the most iconic figures from the 1950's, Elvis Presley, who born this very same month back in 1934. For that reason, we decided to celebrate a 1950's Party. The residents were involved in every single stage of the preparation of the party from the very beginning. They started letting their imagination run free and creating beautiful decorations that we later stuck on the walls.

Activities at Deepdene

The busy Christmas season may be a distant memory, but nothing slows down at Deepdene. Our days are busy with morning exercise and singalongs, visits to the hair salon and caring for our beautiful lovebirds.

International Flowers Day

It was International Flowers Day on 19th January, so we used our artistic flair to arrange this beautiful display.

Games Day at Alexandra Court

Our residents enjoyed playing games today, Margaret, Dorothy, Mona, Owen and Sylvia also really enjoyed the drinks trolley with a glass of Baileys and Sherry.

Winter Walks

We had a lovely walk out with Sylvia and Mabel, the sun was shinning so we went for a good walk around the block. We enjoyed looking at the gardens near the library and enjoying the fresh air.

Muffin The Rabbit

Muffin the rabbit has come to live with us at The Westbourne. The residents have enjoyed handling Muffin and they also enjoy watching her hop around the lounge.

Birthdays and Flower Arranging

What a great combination for one of our residents this week as we celebrated together in style. The smell of some of the flowers was beautiful too. A member of staff had provided us with a wonderful copy of an RHS magazine which was very much appreciated. Residents sought out familiar places and made suggestions of wonderful gardens they would like to visit in the future as a Birthday treat. Meanwhile a Birthday Sash to wear, along with a special cake and card added to the celebrations of the day.

Christmas Entertainment at Troutbeck

We had some amazing entertainment here at Troutbeck for the Christmas season, music has been so beneficial since the onset of Covid and promotes overall health and wellness while eliciting positive memories and reactions.

Art Class at Ashfield Court

On Monday morning our residents had an art class. Everyone enjoyed showing their master pieces to each other.
