In preparation of Remembrance Day, those living with us at Wyndham Hall enjoyed crafting poppies and spending time talking about the different roles they did during the war. One of our residents who is 100 years old was in the land army and generously shared her experiences with the group.

Ghosts Ahoy!

Halloween Arts & Crafts
To celebrate Halloween, many of the people living with us at River View decorated pumpkins with spooky faces and coloured in some themed pictures that we displayed across the home for everyone to enjoy.
Our themed activity afternoon included Halloween bingo with our winner being presented with a bag of chocolate gold coins (nothing scary about that we think !

Staff at River View Care Home took a moment to quietly remember and pay tribute to all of those who have served in the armed services.

Spooktacular Halloween Party
At Knights Court we had our own ‘Spooktacular’ Halloween party with the people living with us along with staff dressing up for the occasion.
We had deliciously spooky treats along with our afternoon tea and then enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment from a Shamanic Drummer with her spiritual drumming and singing of folk songs.

Pumpkin Carving
We celebrated Halloween at Knights Court by trying our hand at carving Pumpkins and here is the fruit of our efforts 🎃’

Goulish Celebrations
Buckingham House was filled with Halloween antics recently
Those living with us were kept extremely busy preparing and decorating the pumpkins for our Halloween celebrations and then enjoyed the delicious seasonal pumpkin soup prepared by our catering team.
A GOULISH time was had by all

Fulmer Riding Therapy School
Our lovely residents who live with us at Buckingham House were treated to an exciting trip to Fulmer Riding Therapy School. They were introduced to Freddie one of the horses at the school and were taught how to care for him.
After the excitement of meeting the horses, they were treated to a lovely afternoon tea during which the team at Fulmer chatted to everyone about the work they do with the horses at the school.

Armistice Day at Birch Heath
For this years Armistice Day everyone at Birch Heath Lodge participated in two minutes silence to pay respect for all those who served in the armed forces.
It was a touching moment to see everyone come together and show their admiration and support.
Personal experiences and memories were shared over a cup of tea.

Get Fit Exercise
Our lovely residents enjoyed our get fit exercise in the afternoon, this included full body exercises with Pom Poms. This activity was really enjoyed, one lady quoted “we needed this” after the exercises they enjoyed a nice cup of tea.
