Decorating Baubles
The residents of Clarendon Court have been busily decorating their own baubles to hang on our outdoor tree. Nearly ready now to join in with the Stapeley Christmas Lights Walking Trail.

Reminiscing Talk
We had a great reminiscing talk today. The residents were shown some photos of appliances from the past and were asked to identify them. Some were easier than others and after some deliberation they managed to answer them all correctly. How many can you guess correctly?

Amber Court's Christmas Wreath
Everyone in Amber Court is very excited for Christmas day, that’s why we made a beautiful wreath which was decorated by our lovely residents and staff. Look how lovely it is!

Clarendon Court's Carol Concert
Clarendon Court are busily preparing for an outdoor Carol Concert to support the launch of the Stapeley Christmas Lights Walking Trail in support of local charities. We look forward to welcoming friends and families to join us for carols, mulled wine and mince pies on November the 25th at 6p.m.

Practicing Christmas Songs
Christmas is getting closer and so during choir practice, we thought it would be a good idea to start practising Christmas Songs. The residents picked their favourites and we all sang, danced and clapped together. This was so much fun all round!

Bonfire Night at Brunel House
Bonfire night was a huge success recently. People living at Brunel were able to safely watch the home’s firework display held in the garden. Later we settled down in front of the tv with our homemade pizza and a glass of wine to watch displays from around the world.
Valerie commented on the evening "what a spectacular performance" and Mary said, “I am so pleased I got to see such a beautiful display".
Halloween at Kings Court
Halloween at Kings Court was a fantastic day, made even more enjoyable by all the people working at the care home dressing up and really getting into the spirit of things.
Book Club at Brunel House
Book club is going from strength to strength and everyone seems to be really interested in the next few chapters to discover what has happened! Our local mobile library have sourced a huge selection of suggested group reading titles and we look forward to reading them in the very near future.
Remembrance Sunday
The period of Remembrance is a time that holds a high amount of significance for many of those who live here at Abingdon Court. For this reason, we make certain to honour and respect this time. In the build up to Remembrance Sunday, we prepared by making our own poppies whilst talking about what Remembrance Sunday means to us.
