Dining Experience

As part of resident dining experience we asked our residents what they would like to have as part of their dining experience and they chose a Christmas theme.

Our wonderful residents have spent all afternoon decorating the table, they have chosen what decorations they would like and then gave our activity lady Nadine a list of items they would like purchased to make the table centre pieces.

They designed and decorated the table themselves with support from the team at Manor Park and we think they have done an amazing job.

Reverse Advent Calendar

Here at Manor Park Care Home we are doing a reverse advent calendar in December. Everyday of advent items can be added to the box and then on Christmas this will be given to a local homeless charity at Trinity Methodist Church.

Remembrance Day

Corinthian House Remembers....  Our fallen soldiers on the battlefield, the men who returned to their loved ones and the women folk left at home or working in the factories.  Corinthian House always celebrates Remembrance Day, and this year was no different.

Archery Lessons

Our residents enjoyed archery lessons in November. We had a lovely morning learning a new skill and many laughs as the arrows just didn't go as planned and pinged around the room miles away from the target.

Vintage Seaside Café Experience

We have had a vintage seaside cafe experience at Corinthian House in November.

The residents had fish and chips, bread butter and tea, we played seaside themed tunes and the activities team were the waitresses for the day.

We had so much fun decorating the dining rooms, getting dressed up and entertaining the residents and they had a lovely lunch at the seaside.

Singing Performance

We had a lovely day in November when Emily came into the home to sing for us. The residents have really enjoyed themselves singing along and clapping to the songs they knew from last year.

School Visit

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from the local school who came to sing songs to our residents.

Visit From Santa

A huge thank you to the

Cup Cake Creativity

These delicious looking cup cakes were decorated by some of the people living with dementia here at Kingsbury Court.

As well as being a great afternoon activity that allowed everyone to express their own creativity and love of colour, they were a delight to eat afterwards.

St Andrews Day Celebrations

Here at Abingdon Court we celebrated St Andrews day by taking the people who live with us on our much loved Armchair Travels, and as you guessed - this time to Scotland!

Lifestyle Co-ordinators Kirsty and Stanley dressed in Scottish attire, as we all enjoyed a trip around the beautiful Highlands followed by a Scottish quiz.
