World Art Day

On Thursday 15th April the residents joined to the celebrations of World Art Day. We remembered the birth of one of the greatest artists in history. Leonardo Da Vinci, a multidisciplinary artist that created one of the most beautiful pieces of art that we can still admire today. To celebrate this day, the residents created beautiful paintings that have been displayed in the Allingham House Art Gallery. A space where we exhibit the latest pieces of art work from our residents, so everyone can enjoy and appreciate their artistic skills.

National Tea Day

The residents joined to the celebrations of National Tea Day enjoying a traditional afternoon tea. Everyone got involved. Kitchen staff baked fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, also they prepared delicious cucumber sandwiches, meanwhile Pam from admin team baked beautiful cupcakes that the residents really enjoyed.

Pizza Day

Pizza day here at Clarendon Court, what a great job we all did, preparing and then handing over to our chef to pop into the oven ready for our evening snack.

Gardening

The residents and the children from the nursery next door were talking about the importance of recycling. For that reason the residents decided to use tins as pots where you can put seasonal flowers, showing the children an easy way to recycle. Apart from the tins, the residents also decorated plain ceramic pots with acrylic paint and sticks showing them their artistic skills. Finally, they planted begonias and succulent plants creating beautiful pots that have been displayed all around the garden.

Easter celebrations at The Belvedere

Our residents had a lot of fun painting eggs, Easter stands and creating beautiful Easter wreaths. We also had our Easter bunny deliver Easter Eggs to all our residents rooms.

Happy 90th Birthday Mary

We love celebrating birthdays but when it is a milestone birthday, we like to go that extra mile by celebrating in style!

Easter at Belmont

Easter bonnets, karaoke and fun on Easter Day. All residents received either an Easter egg or an Easter gift and an Easter greetings card.

Vaccination Award

We are very proud of our staff at Howgate House Care Home, for achieving a bronze status having their Covid-19 vaccinations. They are looking to achieve Silver status imminently.

Skittles

We had a game of skittles today. The residents used great strength and aim to knock the skittles. They soon became a little competitive and had good sportsmanship. They played for nearly an hour and really enjoyed it. Some people had a turn and others enjoyed just watching and taking in the atmosphere.

Gamestable Fun

At Bowerfield House Ron and Dianne enjoyed a game of football on the table which was lots of fun and Ron was happy he won. We will have lots more fun and laughs with all our residents and bring out our competitive sides.
