Gardening at The Moors

We are loving getting out again in the garden during the sunny weather and starting to plant our flowers. Here at The Moors we have extensive gardens and our residents love picking the flowers and potting them in the flower beds. We are hoping to add a Greenhouse to the garden soon so we can start to grow our own vegetables.

A Busy Day At The Moors

It was a very busy day today at The Moors. We recreated Salvador Dali's watch out of clay and the Queen was entering the Parliament. Some of our Ladies had their hair done for this special day. In the afternoon we was strolling around in the Salvador Dali Museum, of course virtually. The residents said "We loved it!".

Happy Hour at Allingham Arms

The residents enjoyed a very special Happy Hour last Friday to celebrate VE Day. We decorated the Allingham Arms with Union Jack flag bunting and the residents could enjoy their favourite drinks, singing and dancing a selection of The Greatest Hits from the 30s and 40s.

Worker Bee Of The Month

We had 2 winners for worker bee of the month in April. Isaac our kitchen assistant was nominated for going above and beyond at all times. Hayley our new carer was nominated for her positive attitude. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Celebrating International Nurses Day 2021 at MMCG

If a nurse declines to do these kinds of things for her patient, ‘because it is not her business’, I should say that nursing was not her calling.

Well Done Trish

Trish Gordon was kindly gifted this hamper by Head Office for recently passing her Care Practitioner qualification. Well done Trish.

A Thank You To The Home

To all staff at Bowerfield Court, thank you for the wonderful care.

I've been touched by all the kind words about T you have conveyed to me. It's clear your really knew and loved the sweet and gentle soul T was. I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful care my brother received whilst living at Bowerfield Court. He really felt at home and loved getting to know you all and hearing about your families.

Stroke Awareness Month

May is Stroke Awareness Month and everyone at Bowerfield Court is helping to raise both money and awareness. We have made purple ribbons for both residents and staff to wear, along with displaying large ribbons in our lobby and on each floor of our home. Ribbons are available for free for any visitor to our home and are to be found in our lobby along side bags of sweets that are for sale. All money raised will be donated to the Stroke Association at the end of the month.

Happy Hour

Today we enjoyed happy hour with our friends of the home, with music, wine and some favourite snacks. We had a little dance too, just what we needed for a Friday afternoon.

Manorhey Entertainment

Today at Manorhey we enjoyed a performance from one of our favourite entertainers. She had everyone dancing away the whole way through. She definitely brought a smile to our faces.
