By Special Delivery to The Wharf

Local residents Rachel & James have put a big smile on the faces of everyone here at The Wharf with their wonderful letters to our residents.

9 year old Rachel visited The Wharf at Christmas with her school to sing us some carols, so we were delighted that she took the time to ask about everyone in the home again. She also sent us a lovely picture of one of her cats, which we've put on display for everyone to enjoy.

5 year old Frieda and her big brother Jerome aged 8 have written a letter to our residents and sent these lovely pictures which we are displaying in the home for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you Frieda and Jerome from everyone at River View.

Easter Challenge at Park springs Care Home

Parksprings Care Home have launched a community challenge for Easter. Our residents have invited locals to email pictures of their Easter creations to be judged and a display created for our residents to enjoy. Get crafting and good luck!

Stay Safe Everyone

Astor Court and Lodge on Lamb Street, Cramlington have been busy during the month creating little messages and cards to send to their relatives.

Some of our residents wanted to send messages to their family today, to put their mind at ease so that they knew we were thinking of them and happy and safe. We spent a few hours drawing pictures or writing cards and then took some photo's of them with a little message for their loved ones to put their mind at ease and send off on email. The residents had a great time being creative.

April Events at Clarendon Court

This is a very difficult time for everyone, and we'd like to thank all of our residents and families for their support during this time, and an extra-special thank you to all of our staff across the board who have continued to work tirelessly to serve the needs of our residents.

Thank you the NHS

Here at Rose Lodge Care Home on Carer's Way, Cobblers Lane, Newton Aycliffe we have always prided ourselves on being part of the local community and we were delighted to support our NHS for the 8pm clap for the NHS on Thursday 26th March at 8pm.

Our residents asked if we could have a sign outside the home so that the NHS workers knew how much they meant to us and how much we appreciated all they are doing for the community and our loved ones and a sign was created.

Advice Hearts

At Hope Green we asked all residents what advice they would give to the younger generation.

We received some lovely advice and also got a lot of funny ones which really did lift the mood at this awful time.

Helping the Community

Here at Yohden Care Complex based on Hesleden Road in Blackhall we have always prided ourselves on being part of the Blackhall Colliery community.  Our staff thought it would be a great idea to all donate £1 or an item to set up food and toiletry parcels for the community who had to either self-isolate or have to look after elderly residents or children to help with supplies during the current situation.

Cards from Barnsfield Primary School

Although we are going through a difficult time you cant fail to be lifted by the kind thoughts of people, especially young people. We were delighted when we received a number of cards from the children of Barnsfield Primary School who were so worried about our residents and staff at Appletree they sent us beautiful cards and letters to cheer us up.

Community Spirit in Slough

In these difficult times we never fail to be amazed at the thoughtfulness of people, especially young people. Shoha was worried about our residents and so sent this lovely uplifting letter to them.  It brought a smile not just their faces but also to all of our staff at Windmill Care Centre as Shoha thinks that they are amazing.
