Letters from Greenfield Community College
Here at Rose Lodge Care Home in Newton Aycliffe we have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown by our local community and especially receiving letters from local schools and colleges for the residents. We received a lovely letter this week from Greenfield Community College and of course we had to write back to them.

Thank you Brookside Garden Centre
Thank you so much to Brookside Garden Centre for donating all these gorgeous flowers for our residents at Hope Green. This has really cheered everyone up and lifted everyone's spirits

Flowers and Chocolates for Minster Grange
Linda Berry, Team Leader at Minster Grange won a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and some chocolates and nominated them to Minster Grange to receive them.
The chocolates have been shared with the residents and the flowers are on display for everyone to enjoy.

A New Resident at The Belvedere
The Belvedere recently gained a new resident, Bobby the budgie.
Bobby belonged to a lovely lady that resided within the home, and upon her sad passing, staff asked the family whether Bobby may be able to stay, both in her memory and to provide joy to the friends and neighbours she left behind.
The family were kind enough to allow this, and Bobby has since received a few upgrades!

Post Delivery to Batley Hall
Our residents at Batley Hall Care Home in Batley, West Yorkshire had a lovely surprise this week when they received some letters through the post from the students at Redbourne Upper School and Community College.
We all thoroughly enjoyed reading them and send a massive thank you to the school for taking the time to write to us. Love from residents and staff at Batley Hall.

Thank You Greggs
Here at Earsdon Grange Care Home in Whitley Bay we have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our local taxi firm and Greggs.
It would also be very remiss of us not to mention our local taxi firm, East Coast Taxi’s in Whitley Bay. They have come to our aid and offered to help staff get to and from work to keep them safe in these uncertain times and have offered a staggering 50% discount to all of our colleagues at the Home. Your generosity will not be forgotten, thank you.

Thank You
A huge thank you to our local KFC who so generously refused to accept payment from our Home Manager Anjaleena at Deepdene Care Home last week when she placed a large food order for staff members to thank them for their hard work.
It means so much to our staff to know that the local community is supporting them during this uncertain period as they continue to care for all of our residents.

By Special Delivery to The Wharf
Local residents Rachel & James have put a big smile on the faces of everyone here at The Wharf with their wonderful letters to our residents.
9 year old Rachel visited The Wharf at Christmas with her school to sing us some carols, so we were delighted that she took the time to ask about everyone in the home again. She also sent us a lovely picture of one of her cats, which we've put on display for everyone to enjoy.

Local residents Frieda and Jerome Jones have really put a big smile on the faces of everyone in the home today with their fantastic selection of artwork received by post this morning.
5 year old Frieda and her big brother Jerome aged 8 have written a letter to our residents and sent these lovely pictures which we are displaying in the home for everyone to enjoy.
