
Wear It Pink Day
We held a Wear It Pink day to raise money for breast cancer. All of the residents and staff wore pink clothes and pink ribbons and enjoyed music, cake, sweets, treats and dancing.

Cavendish Court's Pub
Many of our residents here at Cavendish Court have missed the little joys in life during the past several months, where even the option to go for a drink at the local pub had become a distant memory. The team at Cavendish therefore decided to bring the pub to them, the residents enjoyed a couple of Shandy's and G&T's whilst socialising with others, playing darts, golf and even re-watching the 1966 World Cup final.
Bowerfield Olympics
We have been continuing our Bowerfield Olympics theme and there have been more competitions throughout the week. We had a cake decorating competition, a ball throwing competition, a ring toss competition and much more! Team Red is currently winning against team blue by 1 point. We will see who comes out on top at our party this Friday when we have staff involved in the fun and games as well.

Flu Vaccination
The district nurses came to Howgate today to give our residents their annual Flu vaccinations, they said it was a lovely home and thanked the staff for all their help.
Bowerfield Court Olympics
Throughout the month we have had Olympic activities. Our home has been split into 2 teams, a red team and a blue team. All staff on shift tomorrow for the party have been told which team they will be competing on and are going to be dressed up in their team colours. Throughout the month residents have been competing in various competitions to earn points for their team. Some examples of the competition include bowling, games, darts, cake decorating, ball throwing, ring toss, trivia and bingo.
Bowerfield Olympics
We did Bowerfield Olympics. We had a red and a blue team, residents and staff went against each other in a number of activities. Everyone had so much fun. We enjoyed a buffet party, and celebrated a number of birthdays including a staff member turning 21.

Rated Good in all areas by CQC
Abingdon Court are celebrating after being rated Good in all areas during a recent CQC inspection. As well as thanking the staff for their hard work we want to thank the residents, their friends and families and the local community who continue to support us.

Award Winner at Allingham House
Harpreet Kaur, receptionist at Allingham House was a recent winner in Maria Mallaband and Countrywide Care Home annual awards, as Hospitality Hero 2020. Through numerous votes, Harpreet was recognised as an asset to Allingham House, doing everything asked of her with a smile. Her dedication through the pandemic has meant that relatives.

Ice Cream Van at Manorhey
Residents and staff at Manorhey, designed and made our very own ice cream van, which was then filled with a variety of different flavours cones and toppings. We supervised the ice cream van on the each floor, whilst playing the traditional ice cream tune around the building which caught the residents attention and encouraged them to come up to the van and choose their very own favourite ice cream to enjoy.

Christopher’s Birthday and Illumination Switch On
At Amber Court we recently celebrated Christopher’s 29th birthday and combined it with our very own Blackpool Illuminations Switch-on party. Lunch was themed as Christopher’s favourite food - McDonalds and one of our chef’s made a McDonalds themed birthday cake.
