Thank You Hampers

We recently had thank you hampers delivered to Bowerfield Court on behalf of the directors.

Very well received by staff. Thank you.

Meet the Team

Meet Andrea, one of our fantastic domestic team at Earsdon Grange, who has been busy today getting one of our bedrooms ready for a new resident coming into their new home.

We hope you enjoy many years in your new home.

New Chef at Belmont House

Meet Joe McKee our new Head Chef at Belmont House. Since gaining his promotion on 12th October he has been keen to create a new menu with input from the residents.

His first tasting menu of black pudding scotch eggs which our residents of Courtyard absolutely loved. They can’t wait for the next taster session.

Well done Joe.

Wear It Pink Day

We held a Wear It Pink day to raise money for breast cancer. All of the residents and staff wore pink clothes and pink ribbons and enjoyed music, cake, sweets, treats and dancing.

Cavendish Court's Pub

Many of our residents here at Cavendish Court have missed the little joys in life during the past several months, where even the option to go for a drink at the local pub had become a distant memory. The team at Cavendish therefore decided to bring the pub to them, the residents enjoyed a couple of Shandy's and G&T's whilst socialising with others, playing darts, golf and even re-watching the 1966 World Cup final.

Bowerfield Olympics

We have been continuing our Bowerfield Olympics theme and there have been more competitions throughout the week. We had a cake decorating competition, a ball throwing competition, a ring toss competition and much more! Team Red is currently winning against team blue by 1 point. We will see who comes out on top at our party this Friday when we have staff involved in the fun and games as well.

Flu Vaccination

The district nurses came to Howgate today to give our residents their annual Flu vaccinations, they said it was a lovely home and thanked the staff for all their help.

Bowerfield Court Olympics

Throughout the month we have had Olympic activities. Our home has been split into 2 teams, a red team and a blue team. All staff on shift tomorrow for the party have been told which team they will be competing on and are going to be dressed up in their team colours. Throughout the month residents have been competing in various competitions to earn points for their team. Some examples of the competition include bowling, games, darts, cake decorating, ball throwing, ring toss, trivia and bingo.

Bowerfield Olympics

We did Bowerfield Olympics. We had a red and a blue team, residents and staff went against each other in a number of activities. Everyone had so much fun. We enjoyed a buffet party, and celebrated a number of birthdays including a staff member turning 21.

Rated Good in all areas by CQC

Abingdon Court are celebrating after being rated Good in all areas during a recent CQC inspection.  As well as thanking the staff for their hard work we want to thank the residents, their friends and families and the local community who continue to support us.
