OUR LOVELY FINISHED PLANTS AND BIRD BALLS.

Crufts 2022
We made Rosette's for Crufts 2022. The residents wanted all different colours and when they finished making them they decided to wear them. While we were making them they watched Crufts 2022 live on TV.
Hydration Week
We kicked off Hydration Week with making some Fruit Infused Water. The residents picked which fruits they fancied in their glasses and tried different flavours. The residents especially enjoyed eating the juicy fresh fruit and smelling the stronger scents.
A Day At The Races
A Day at the Races!! We all enjoyed celebrating the Cheltenham Gold Cup today. The residents picked a horses name out of the hat and decorated a Jockey shirt with matching colours. When it was time for the chosen race to begin, the residents gathered in the lounge and wore some fancy hats ready. The winner of the race won a bottle of Prosecco!

Milkshake time at Ashmead
A most enjoyable afternoon for all residents was spent at Ashmead on Wednesday 15th March 2022, when members of our local NHS dietary team paid a visit. The team brought along ingredients to enable the residents to construct and taste wonderful milkshakes. The milkshakes made were Bailey’s Frappuccino, Fruit Milkshake, Dairy Free Fruit Burst Milkshake and Mango and Yoghurt Milkshake. Appropriate music and light costumes helped make this afternoon not only an adventure but also educational as the team explained the nutritional benefits from such milkshakes.

Painting at Cedar Court
Our popular arts and craft group enjoyed their painting activity and produced some extremely wonderful art. Using acrylic paint, we created a sea scene which all the people living at the home were so proud of they couldn't wait to display them in their bedrooms.

Resident Meetings at Hope Green
Our regular Residents Meetings at Hope Green are an opportunity to gather together with coffee, tea and biscuits and discuss how everyone is getting along. The staff team value the opinions and suggestions that residents have to offer and there is always a great 'buzz' when these meetings take place. Residents commented on how much they had been enjoying Spring walks in the garden and made suggestions for plants they would like to plant out to make a sensory area. This will be a great little project for everyone to get involved in.

Reminiscence
Residents enjoyed a lovely session of Reminiscence with the Lifestyle Team this week and it was a really great time of friendship and laughter. Many residents were able to gather a few things together too to put into a personalised Memory Box and there was certainly lots of discussion. We even had our own OXO box filled with Robin Starch, Zebra Grate Polish and other items of interest! It's always good to have open and honest discussions together, accepting each others memories and opinions is a part of our values at Hope Green.
