St. Patricks Day

lá Fhéile Pádraig sona in Irish or Happy St. Patrick's Day in English !!

St. Patrick's Day is without question, one of the most popular days of the year for our residents, they have a very close relationship with the Emerald Isle for many different reasons. The residents enjoyed during the week creating beautiful decorations that have been displayed all around the home.

Also, some of our residents showed their baking skills, baking the traditional Irish Soda Bread in different shapes that later on was served with tea and coffee for everyone to enjoy.

St Patricks Day at Water Royd

Yesterday we celebrated St Patricks Day .

Starting with an Irish full breakfast. Singing and dancing with the Irish leprechaun. Lunch served was either Irish stew, Steak and Guinness pie chips and peas, followed by Desert of Chocolate cake with Guinness Cream. All options were also available pureed.

A top of the morning kind of day being enjoyed by all.

Thank you to MK Friends Charity

The whole team and people living at Kents Hill Care Home would like to take this opportunity to thank MK Friends Charity for their generous donation.
Clare from MK Friends Charity visited us today and kindly donated a sensory cat and puppy for the home, both of which have proved to be a big hit with the people who lives with us.  We are so grateful for this incredible donation and we know that our new cat and puppy are going to be well loved and looked after.

Flower arranging at Kents Hill

Despite the rainy weather outside we are all smiles at our flower arranging class. All the beautiful flower arrangements created by the people living with us will be placed on the tables in our dining rooms for everyone to admire and enjoy.

A Very Big 'Thank you'!

The manager at our home spent time chatting to staff members, providing cake and handing out individualised 'Thank you' gifts to show appreciation of the hard work which continues every day. It's important to our staff team to express gratitude to each other as we recognise all the individual roles we play as we work together. Well done Hope Green Team.

Tree Of Hope at Hope Green

Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection was celebrated by revisiting our Tree Of Hope in the beautiful gardens of our home. It was Christmas when we first made the decision to name this tree our Tree of Hope and now as it comes to life with Spring blossom it's fitting that we celebrate this special day together around the tree once again. This time residents and staff made hearts to hang with ribbon and chose to write 'thank you' 'respect' 'integrity' and other values that we hold dear.

Queens Jubilee Tree Planting

Bowerfield House have been busy organising and choosing our Queen`s jubilee tree which is being planted on 25th March. We are very excited about this which is why we are choosing a colour for our garden fence which is the start of our garden project.

Lots of changes are going on at Bowerfield House and we are very excited and looking forward to sitting in our garden this summertime .

All residents staff and residents’ families all got involved and was lovely to see.

Art Session

We had fun today in our messy art session creating pieces inspired by Claude Monet using oil pastels and the smudge technique.
