St Patricks Day Celebrations
River View celebrated St Patrick’s Day as we continued on our virtual holiday tour by travelling to Ireland for the occasion.
Green was the colour of the day, even visiting Ambulance crew members were dressed for the celebrations in their green uniforms!
We all chatted about activities and landmarks in Ireland, with several of the people living with us telling us about their time enjoyed on the Emerald Isle .
Our talented kitchen team prepared a banquet which St Patrick himself would have thoroughly enjoyed.

Climbing the Ladder
Many of the people living with us really look forward to our regular board game sessions here at Wyndham Hall and today we enjoyed a friendly game of snakes and ladders

Gardening Club
We started to plant flowers in our garden for the upcoming bloom season. Our residents lead the group to sprinkle seeds around the garden fence, some other residents and staff plant their flowers on their own pots in the rooms. It was fun and good for everyone especially to our residents as it improves their wellbeing. Great job everyone!
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Amber Court
Everyone enjoyed the day full of activities, artworks, entertainment, foods and fun. Look how happy everyone is wearing their mini St. Patrick’s hat. A great day indeed.

Dominoes Day
As the weather took a turn for the worse we all gathered in the lounge for a dominoes tournament. These three lovely ladies were our champions! What a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Art at Carmel Lodge
The residents at Carmel Lodge are spending the afternoon creating pictures of spring flowers, using coloured tissue paper. This reflects the time of year with Daffodils and Tulips in the garden. The residents are also having a chat and get together while we are doing this.

Keeping Active
Our residents have been keeping active and moving! We have been stretching our arms and legs to keep up the flexibility and independence. This encourages everyone to keep happy and healthy!
Mothers Day at Manorhey
We celebrated Mothers Day with a afternoon tea party! Some of our residents had their loved ones join us, to make it extra special. It was great to have everyone involved and see residents happy faces. We had delicious scones and cakes washed down with prosecco and listened to some mothers day related music!
Hope Green's Chippy Butty Challenge
Chip Buttys all round at Hope Green, as part of our regional competition to find the best Chip Butty the aim was for our chefs to be as creative as possible. We had a brilliant time tasting different variations on the traditional chip butty. The judging team was made up of people who live in the home, staff and our regional team. Thank you so much Hope Green for the splendid and wonderfully tasty visit!
Chip Butty Challenge
Earlier this month we took part in the chip butty challenge. It was a great fun team effort. Our chef Dave freshly baked three different types of homemade bread. We had brioche , melted cheese drizzle and buttery herbed bread. The chips made by Caitlin were triple cooked with sea salt and rosemary, this made for a unique and tasty blend. Our residents enjoyed sampling them with a Sauce of their choice and a glass of prosecco to celebrate International Woman's Day. We finished the afternoon learning a few fun facts about chips and their origin.
