Special Moments
Celebrating special moments with the people who live with us is so important. The lovely couple below celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary, they dined in the restaurant for lunch and had a little trip down memory lane and received some chocolates from the whole team. Many Congratulations from us all.

Birthday celebrations
We were only too happy when asked, to organise a birthday party for someone living at the home to celebrate in the garden. It was such a pleasure to be able to decorate a space and provide some refreshments for such a special day.

Jubilee Lunch at Local Church
Earlier this week our residents enjoyed going to the church for lunch where they celebrated with the community the Queen’s jubilee. Food was 5/5 and they can’t wait to go back!

Pre School Visit
The people living at Gateford Hill found the children from a local pre school to be so uplifting on their recent visit. It triggered so many lovely memories of when their children were little. The children engaged really well with the residents who were filled with excitement when they arrived.
The children brought biscuits and chocolates to share with our residents as well as a parachute game which all generations enjoyed.
One resident brought one of her collectible dolls down from her room to show the children. We are really looking forward to their next visit.

Elstead Community Jubilee Party
Sharon and the Elstead Committee who organised the local Jubilee Party extended an invitation to the people who are living at Bridge House Care Home. We were delighted to be invited to the local party to celebrate with people living in the area.
The event was fantastic there was food, choirs, singing and laughter inside a beautifully decorated marquee.
We all had an amazing time and thank everyone for their hard work to make the event happen.
VE Day Preparations
VE Day preparations were underway at Hope Greens Craft Club where residents were making red white and blue hanging basket arrangements, craft jars, and displays around the home. It's always good to listen to the conversations that take place during these activities, and the sharing of experiences together strengthens relationships whilst reflecting on friendships of the past too.
Shortbread Baking
Yesterday our lovely residents fancied a spot of baking.
Making shortbread shapes seemed to be the popular choice with the best bit being making dough balls and rolling ,I am sure you can imagine the fun in the flour clouds!
A lovely morning and yummy treats had by all.

Rice Crispy Cakes
Our residents made some lovely chocolate rice crispy cakes together with us in the morning to have for their afternoon tea.
Platinum Jubilee at Birch Heath
To Celebrate HMs Platinum Jubilee Birch Heath Lodge held a party in appreciation of the Queen. Families were invited to the event and the day was eagerly anticipated by everyone. The Party commenced with George Croiala who entertained us with his piano. We sang and serenaded with a collection of traditional songs. A photograph scene was made for anyone who wanted a picture with the Queen. A royal Quiz and Prize bingo followed a buffet fit for a King or Queen. Garden games like skittles and whack the rat entertained for those who took to the garden.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Some wonderful photos from our celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee here at Kings Court
After weeks spent designing, colouring, painting and sticking together our home made decorations we were able to display them all with great pride at our garden party.
Not only did the weather stay dry for our special event, but it was such a joy to celebrate with families and friends of the people living with us. We all enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment and games.
A huge thank you to everyone for making it a time to remember!
