The Queen Elizabeth’s Visit in Abbey View
We had a very special visitor came to celebrate with us. One of our staff decided to surprise our residents and visitors. She dressed like the Queen, put a Queen mask, wore quirky fascinators' hat and she even bring one of Queen’s dogs with her (Stuffed toy). She really looks like the Queen, no doubt. Residents are happy and even cried because the Queen is here to celebrate with them. We played the United Kingdom’s national anthem and all the residents sang with it. What a lovely time to see them happy and amazed.
Artworks for Queen’s Jubilee
We prepared a lot of artworks and activities for our residents throughout the celebration of Queen’s Jubilee. These are handmade printed buntings, recycled jubilee jars, "Queen/King for a day" necklaces and Jubilee colouring books. We also printed out Queen’s pictures and hanged alongside with the buntings. Residents really enjoyed every artwork they have done. We also had fun in our Royal Bingo which was participated by the residents and staff. We all had fun-filled days to celebrate the Jubilee. Well done everyone!
Crochet Buntings and Queen Miniature for Jubilee
One of our resident’s daughter donated these lovely crafts that she made specially for the Queen’s Jubilee. Look how lovely they are! We hanged the bunting in the front door to welcome everyone coming to the home and the Queen’s miniature is displayed in the reception area. Everyone seeing these was amazed specially our residents. Thank you very much!
Platinum Jubilee Tea Party in Abbey View
We celebrated the Jubilee in Abbey View last 3rd of June, 2022. All the resident's families are invited and they are very excited to join our tea party. Delicious foods are prepared by our kitchen chef. Handmade buntings and balloons are displayed outside and inside the home. We also had outdoor entertainment led by Chris, he sang lovely songs that our residents and visitors enjoyed. Visitors are very grateful that they’ve been part of this celebration and they received presents from us.
Allingham's Jubilee Party
What a wonderful time we had at Allingham House celebrating Queen's Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee.
World Ocean Day
For this weeks craft club we marked World Ocean Day through colouring wonderful sea creatures and creating colourful jellyfish while watching and listening to the wonderful sights and sounds of an aquarium. Lots of comments on beautiful scenes and the relaxing water sounds, making for a lovely morning session of creativity and conversation.

Carers Appreciation Week
Celebrating the people working with us is so important. To mark Carers Week at Cedar Court we had a surprise care appreciation week. Throughout the week we had breakfast for all our team members and also a BBQ with everyone one afternoon. It was very much appreciated and well deserved for all our colleagues for always going the extra mile for our residents and their relatives.

Trip to Bating Lake
We took some of the people living with us on the mini bus to Eaton. We went to Bating Lake, the fish pond and then over to the cafe for some refreshments. After we decided to have a walk all around the park where one of the residents saw a herring, which was fascinating to watch.

Games in the Garden
We decided to play games in the garden because it was such a lovely warm day. I started with one resident and ended with lots of people because we were having so much fun. It is a very simple activity with a parachute and a very soft ball which we were all trying not to drop. The residents were getting very competitive with the game and there was much laughter from all.

Tiny Farm Visit
We had a lovely visit from ”Tiny Farm” and we were absolutely thrilled to be able to spend an afternoon cuddling our new furry friends. We cannot wait to invite them again for some more pet therapy.
