We celebrated Valentines Day in style with tea, cakes and fizz at Windmill Care Centre in Slough. 

Flowerland in Bourne End is a favourite place to visit for our residents at Windmill Care Centre, Slough, especially for lunch.

Here at Field View Care Home on Hesleden Road, Blackhall we love a good celebration and we were delighted to celebrate Sheila Dunn’s 100th Birthday on 21st February.  Sheila came to us at Field View about a month ago and we were so excited that her 100th birthday was approaching we made plans to bake a cake for Sheila and the residents and celebrate in style. Her family arranged to hold a tea party in the pub in the home and she had so many visitors throughout the day to celebrate with her.  They brought in a birthday cake with a beautiful picture of Sheila. They ha

Residents at Clumber Court enjoyed a recent visit from Keeley, who came to sing 1950's hits. She was dressed for the occasion ready for lots of dancing with our residents in her 1950's dress. 

Everyone had a very enjoyable afternoon and loved singing, playing the blow up guitars and dancing along. The room was full of big smiles and lots of singing! 

Linsay Ellis, one of the home's favourite entertainers came to sing for the residents at Heeley Bank Care Home in Sheffield.

The residents, as always, thoroughly enjoyed the hour singing and dancing session. Linsay's song choices are great and the residents sing along to every song.

Everyone's spirits were lifted, and are all looking forward to the next sing along session.

This month we celebrated Valentine's Day with residents and family members or their special partner. We made hearts with moving messages of love on them.

The residents and family members worked together to create their pieces and they were hung up in the foyer of Bowerfield House. Staff and carers also wrote messages of love on hearts for the crafts and conversation session. The resident and family session involved a group session around a table in the lounge where we shared memories about Valentines dances. 

Love is in the air at Buckingham House. 

We had an early Valentine's afternoon tea party. We also offered a private afternoon dinner date for a couple who didn't want to join the party. 

Our love advise wall was a hit! We asked residents and their partners what love advise they would give.

Tea and cakes were delicious and thank you to our catering team.

Dennis and Brian enjoyed a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry today. They took the train from Alderley Edge to Manchester. Both Dennis and Brian, before their dementia diagnosis travelled via trains most days. Going to the Museum of Science and Industry was also a trip down memory lane for both gents. They both had fun as did the staff!
