Zooming and Keeping in Touch
As we are not yet able to meet our friends and family, we have very quickly become online experts in Face Time and Zoom.
Its not the same as being face to face but it's enabled us to keep in touch with those we care about.

Gardening at Princess Lodge
Like many other people, over the last few weeks we have noticed that there is an abundance of wildlife and especially birds.
The bird song is so soothing and seems much louder than usual. Our enclosed garden is a lovely place to watch the different birds and we feel blessed we are able to share this space with them.

Art Classes at Brunel House
Our residents are managing to fill their time easily at Brunel House.
Art is a fantastic stress reliever, its relaxing and enables us to channel our creative side.
The recent glorious weather has meant we have been able to enjoy our art in our beautiful gardens whilst listening to bird sing and watching the local wildlife at the same time.

Ice Cream for Ashfield Court
The residents at Ashfield Court on Tewit Well Road in Harrogate had a lovely surprise when the ice cream van popped by to see them.
The visit certainly made the lovely hot weather we are having feel like we were on holiday. Thank you so much for visiting us.

Rossett High School
We were delighted to receive lovely pots of plants from Rossett High School for the home and residents.
They were such a lovely surprise and we can't wait to have those growing in our courtyard.
Thank you to Rossett High School for your lovely gift.

VE Day Comes to Garden Hill
VE Day may seem like a long time ago now but the residents at Garden Hill Care Home are still talking about it. We are so lucky to have such a huge garden at the home so we had a singer come along to sing for us and we sat outside and in the conservatory to enjoy the celebrations.
We then had a gorgeous treat of high tea in the afternoon. The residents all have so many memories from that time which they were happy to share with all of the staff.

Buckingham House Rocks
Buckingham House Care Home in Gerrards Cross has been overwhelmed by the kindness shown by local people during the COVID-19 crisis. During this time the home has been touched by the messages of support and gifts from local people As a way of thanking the community and hopefully putting a smile on the face of anyone who finds them, the residents of the home have been painting rocks and including positive messages and they have been hidden around Gerrards Cross.

Community Spirit at Ashfield Court
Here at Ashfield Court Care Home on Tewit Well Road in Harrogate we have been amazed by the kindness and generosity of our local community.
We received some gorgeous flowers from the Oatlands Community Group and a lovely card which was such a lovely gesture and meant the world to us. Thank you for sending those to us, the staff and residents loved them.

VE Day Memories
We love hearing stories from yesteryear at Willowdene Care Home on Lizards Lane, Sedgefield and VE Day proved to be an amazing day for that.
Meet our fabulous resident Ivy who is 105 years old. She was 30 years old and married to Tom who was a solider when the first VE Day was celebrated and she recalls they had a big party and singing and dancing in the streets. The atmosphere was magical and everyone baked lovely cakes, pies and treats and shared everything with their neighbours.
