The Got 2 Sing Choir gathered, socially distanced and safely to sing for our residents.  It was a joyful moment for all as the singing filled the air.  Residents watched from outside or from their windows and remarked it was simply beautiful.

Staff, residents and families gave generously to our appeal for donations for the Salvation Army to help families less fortunate at Christmas. Our donations were delivered to The Keighley Branch and were very well received. With many thanks to everyone who took part.

Carols By Glowstick with Christmas treats was a big success at The Westbourne. When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney was a definite favourite to sing too alongside many traditional carols. Merry Christmas!

Residents at White Rose Lodge have been participating in a daily festive advent quiz this year for the chance of winning chocolates.  

White Rose Lodge have been busy this December, residents made shoe boxes for the Samaritans shoe box appeal to send gifts to children around the world.

Having a safe place to connect with friends and family is so important for those living in our homes, and this visiting pod does exactly that!

The Mayor of Abingdon recently cut the ribbon on this new visiting pod at Abingdon Court Care Home. Creating it has been a real team effort, with all the staff coming together to design and form this space. It’s already had a great impact on everyone and is testament to the work this home does for those living in it.

This year the local community of Bridlington are coming together creatively for their first Christmas Tree Trail in the theme of ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’. The idea is for people in the local community to use their creativity to produce a Christmas tree using recycled materials. You can either completely make the Christmas tree out of recycled materials or get a Christmas tree and decorate it with recycled materials. Once you have created your Christmas Tree you then display it somewhere that passers by can see it.

Donna McDermott, Care Practitioner at Bowerfield Court, is donating her hair for wigs to be made for people with cancer. Kirsty Randall, Home Manager at Bowerfield Court and Bowerfield House, and Peter Baumber, a resident at Bowerfield Court, cut Donna's hair on Tuesday 15th December in front of residents, staff and relatives who joined via video call. 

Donna is an amazing lady and has raised £600 so far with 24 hours still for people to donate. The money raised will be donated to The Princes Trust and the other half to be decided.
