A Day At Manorhey

FABULOUS attire for today at Manorhey, wouldn't you agree? We love to add a bit of colour, sparkle and being creative whilst enjoying the music and songs along the way.

Sewing Passion

Today here at Manorhey a lady continued with her passion of sewing and made little baby's dresses which is very cute alongside many other outfits and clothes she sometimes makes for herself. Also we had the pleasure of watching her make little booties, patchwork and head scarves with a variety of colours and materials.

Valentines, Love and Friendship

We've spent the first week of February embracing our theme of 'Valentines, Love and Friendship'. We've created our 'one love' heart which is a large heart full of individual hearts that both residents and staff have painted. Residents enjoyed sitting and chatting sociably with one another whilst painting their hearts in which ever colour they chose. We will continue to add to our communal heart throughout the month and fill it with love.

Lockdown Activities

Despite National Lockdown our activity team are still able to engage with residents in many ways, from being creative and crafty with feathers or just enjoying some tasty goodies.

We remain totally committed to Social Distancing and using PPE to protect all who live and work here at Wyndham Hall.

Send A Friend A Card Day

Clarendon Court are embracing send a friend a card day on Saturday 7th February. We have had some e cards created and a little pocket hug to send to our friends and relatives to remind them we are thinking about them.

Activities At Wyndham

Despite national lockdown our activities team are still able to engage in individual activities with our residents - playing scrabble, creativity with feathers and completing jigsaws. Or just enjoying some goodies!

We remain totally committed to social distancing and using PPE to protect all who live and work here at Wyndham Hall.

Minute Your Moves campaign, AGE UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest

Team Wharf have joined Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest community campaign to get everyone moving more.  Our residents are supporting our local district, Wyre Forest, in recording all the minutes that they spend moving when doing activities. It is proving to be a real success and a brilliant motivation tool to get moving with a real sense of team and community spirit.

Go Betty go go go!

Betty loves exercise and is always on the go here at The Wharf!.  So much so we're taking delivery of a treadmill so that Betty and our residents who love to get moving can get their daily workouts in whatever the weather!.

Family Zoom Calls

This resident was playing with playdough over zoom with her granddaughter and husband watching and chatting to her.

Allingham's Week

The last week, the residents could go in the garden to enjoy the beautiful view of the snow, also we had time to discover the foot prints of two of our "friends", two beautiful foxes that used to visit us from time to time and to make the first snowman of the season.

Futhermore, the residents joined to the celebration of Burns Night, when we remembered the figures of the poet Robert Burns. The residents enjoyed reading and colouring an illustrated poem of Robert Burn, A Red, Red Rose.
