Holi Hindu Festival

The festival of Holi was celebrated at Kings Court recently. The dining room was decorated with lots of artwork made by the people who live at Kings Court. The staff team dressed in traditional dress and brought a variety of Indian foods for tasting. There was lots of Holi music and dancing. Everyone agreed it was a fantastic day filled with new experiences for everyone. The day brought lots of joy, colour and laughter to residents and the staff team. 

Clarendon's St Patrick's Day

We had a great St Patrick's Day here at Clarendon Court, highlight was a special Irish karaoke, some good voices amongst us. 

Good Friday Party

A very busy Good Friday party, lots of different activities on hand from bunny racing to eggstafactor singing to making Easter bonnets. What a great Easter we had this year. 

Pampering Our Boys

Bowerfield House have enjoyed a pampering morning while listening to some relaxation music, our gentlemen really enjoyed themselves and was feeling calm and relaxed for the rest of the day, boys love a pamper too. 

Horticultural Heaven!

Many of the people who live at Abingdon Court are green fingered and have very fond memories of tending to their gardens and allotments back at their homes. With the weather looking less bleak we decided it was time to put on our garden gloves, grab our trowels, and get planting!

Armchair Aerobics

The people who live at Abingdon Court all have different physical abilities but we always find common ground through exercise. From the choice of music, to the simplicity of the moves, to how we deliver the classes - we really want to make sure our exercise sessions provide satisfaction for all. It is proven that any form of exercise can boost a plethora of chemicals to the brain which improves our mood, raises our self-esteem, and infuses us with happiness. 

Spring Planting

Work has begun on the herb and vegetable patch for Princess Lodge. It's still early days but there is plenty of potting and planting happening. Tomatoes, courgettes, and cucumber are the first selection of vegetables to be planted with more to come. 

Muffin Making

This week we had a go at making muffins! To make it a little easier we used these 'ready to go' mixes in a bottle and just added the butter, egg and milk. Our lovely chef then baked them for us. Unfortunately the end results didn't last long enough to get pictures of... 

Easter Celebrations

The residents enjoyed their Easter eggs and all their table decorations, over the weekend they had entertainment on the TV from our lovely singer Kerry. 

Grand National

Residents and staff are ready for tomorrow's Grand National. They've picked their horses and are eager to discover who will be the winner of the last remaining Easter Egg. And they're off...
