What a fantastic day we had at Bowerfield House, one of our residents Jenny and her family love Christmas but sadly they were not able to celebrate it due to lockdown and her family having covid. The family asked me to help them have another Christmas day together, I was more than happy to make this wish come true! We had a tree up and our stockings hung up on the fireplace, the house was decorated beautifully, we had mince pies, Baileys, lots of presents and even had a carrot for the reindeers along with milk and a mince pie for Santa.

Love was in the air at Manorhey as residents made beautiful cards for their loved ones for Valentines Day. We all got very creative as everyone made their own cards personalised.

The Valentines Day activities are well underway, today Vera made a special gingerbread cookie for her daughter to tell her how much she loves her. In Italian of course!

Last week our residents were getting crafty creating Chinese lantern and fans for Chinese New Year and enjoyed a Chinese curry dish for dinner. Our residents enjoyed film afternoon watching the famous funny face and got to choose within the group what they would like to watch. We had a remembrance on buddy holly, and sang songs on karaoke in remembrance of him and passed pictures around the room. Our residents got up and sang on karaoke and told the group some information that they knew about buddy holly. We then enjoyed cake and coffee along with a nice chat.

We have made a beautiful dried flower wreath from flowers that have been sent in to Residents throughout the year.

We love the Craft Sessions and can't wait to getting potting seeds and bulbs for Spring.

Thank you very much to Patricia and her lovely family for sending us some lovely boxes of sweeties which brightened our day here at the home. We did, of course, share these with Pat as we know she has a sweet tooth like us.

There is lots of work happening at Rosedale at the moment in the Lodge which is undergoing a huge refurbishment project to open April time. Our very handy maintenance man, Steve, has been such a huge help. We were delighted when our Commercial Director, James Burgan, came yesterday to present Steve our maintenance manager with vouchers for a meal out for Steve and his wife as a big thank you.

Thank you to Steve for all of your hard work and thank you James for popping in to see us and all of the work going on in the Lodge.

'Kung Hei Fat Choy' we have had a fabulous day participating in the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Some super delicious meals were prepared by Chef Mitchell to mark the occasion. Amazing aromas filled the home which left us all licking our lips.  For those unable to join us in the dining areas room service was provided.
