Birthday celebrations

We were only too happy when asked, to organise a birthday party for someone living at the home to celebrate in the garden.  It was such a pleasure to be able to decorate a space and provide some refreshments for such a special day.

Jubilee Lunch at Local Church

Earlier this week our residents enjoyed going to the church for lunch where they celebrated with the community the Queen’s jubilee. Food was 5/5 and they can’t wait to go back!

Pre School Visit

The people living at Gateford Hill found the children from a local pre school to be so uplifting on their recent visit. It triggered so many lovely memories of when their children were little. The children engaged really well with the residents who were filled with excitement when they arrived.
The children brought biscuits and chocolates to share with our residents as well as a parachute game which all generations enjoyed.
One resident brought one of her collectible dolls down from her room to show the children. We are really looking forward to their next visit.

Elstead Community Jubilee Party

Sharon and the Elstead Committee who organised the local Jubilee Party extended an invitation to the people who are living at Bridge House Care Home. We were delighted to be invited to the local party to celebrate with people living in the area.
The event was fantastic there was food, choirs, singing and laughter inside a beautifully decorated marquee.
We all had an amazing time and thank everyone for their hard work to make the event happen.

Sing and Smile

The people living with us really enjoy the ‘Sing & Smile’ event we hosted this afternoon.  We do this every week and we even have relatives who come in each week to join in the fun! I just love to see the happy, smiling faces.

Queens Jubilee Party

The people living with us at Gateford Hill Care Home had a fantastic time celebrating the Queens Jubilee with a street party.  There were plenty of fun and smiles and the Queen was there in attendance.

Queens Jubilee

What a spectacular day we had Friday 3rd June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The rain held off, the sun was shining and the people living with us had an opportunity to celebrate with their loved ones.
The BBQ was just fantastic and went down a treat, it was finished off with some wonderful cake.
We all enjoyed the day playing games, listening to live music, and there was a tombola, raffle and a wheelbarrow full of alcohol.

Queen's Jubilee

To celebrate the Queen's Jubilee we hosted a "Royal Afternoon Tea".  More than 100 guests attending our afternoon and we are very thankful for all the lovely comments from our Residents, their relatives and all other guests that attended our event. We were also joined by our new Mayor Cllr Amanda Marlow who was very impressed with our Home.

Jubilee Celebrations

We celebrated our Queen's Jubilee by hosting our very own Water Royd garden party. The event was supported by lots of people who wanted celebrate with their loved ones. We had a 5-piece band perform for us, everyone enjoyed a good old singalong and boogie with the band.
There were hot dog and popcorn stands, Tombola, raffles, we offered face painting, hook a duck and Jenga for the little ones.  There was also cold drink and refreshments served all afternoon.  We organised for the ice cream man pull up around 2pm to refresh everyone with a nice cold ice cream.

Jubilee Celebrations

We started the Jubilee Celebrations in Cedar Court by creating crowns in our arts and craft activity and putting together a memory board of the Queen, along with our residents very fond memories. This was guarded by our Royal Guard in honour of special guest, Queen Elizabeth II
We then held a special Jubilee Church service taken by Rev Rutton of the St Nicholas Church.
