Zoolab visit Willow Bank

On Wednesday 5th February, Zoolab came to visit the residents at Wilow Bank. Ella from Zoolab had brought along some giant snails, some millipedes, two rats and a snake. The residents were very enthusiastic about seeing the animals, though some just liked to look while others enjoyed the opportunity to handle them. We all agreed that the little rat was very cute and admired the colours of the snake, and were surprised by the very smooth texture of the snakes skin.

Musical Entertainment at The Moors

We are so fortunate to have contact with Di Hall, ex international Violin player. She has visited us on a number of occasions, calling in  to play in resident’s rooms. In addition she enabled us to have a wonderful time on the Saturday before Christmas, for our mince pie and carols event, raising funds for our local friends “Dementia Forward”. Residents and their guests were able to make requests for favourite carols. We all sang along and had a wonderful Christmas time, followed by mince pies , which we had made previously.
