Mothers Day
All the resident, visitor and staff mothers were spoilt at Ashmead on Mother’s Day on 27th March 22. David, Hospitality Manager and Ann, Lifestyle Co – Ordinator, toured the units at Ashmead with a decorated trolley armed with homemade Mother’s Day cards, Homemade cup cakes and roses for all the mums. In addition, an alexa was also used so that all the mums could request their favourite music. A special occasion for all present.”
Mother's Day Treats
For this weekends celebration of Mothers Day we had an afternoon tea with a treats trolly filled with cupcakes and an assortment of sweets and toffees for our residents to enjoy.
Mothers day celebrations at Troutbeck
We started the morning with a selection of beautiful hymns to sing along to, in the afternoon we talked about special memories with our Mothers and then of becoming Mothers ourselves. We read poetry and ate delicious cupcakes with fresh fruits, we had lovely chocolates, and flowers were being delivered throughout the day, we had a wonderful day full of fun memories.
Rhian Is Raising Money

Nora's 106th Birthday
Nora celebrated her 106th Birthday, where she was presented a signed birthday letter from the entire Manchester United football Club, by Jane Clinch Home Manager for Gateford Hill Care Home, Jan Hemsworth, Deputy Home Manager and Lindsay Tanner, Hospitality Manager.
Nora has been an avid supporter of the club for many years.
Easter is coming...
In preparation for the Easter celebrations, we have been busy in Arts and Craft creating some wonderful Easter Bonnets. The Easter bonnets will be displayed in reception and then returned to the residents on Easter Sunday when the Easter Bunnies will be delivering chocolate eggs. The bonnets will be entered into our competition and judged before the Easter weekend, with winners announced and prizes given.
Art Club
Being creative is so good for your brain and overall wellness, Kents Hill has a varied Art Club at the home that is well attend. This week the group were making their very own personalised canvas bags, there were some beautiful designs by the end of the class.
Cocktail Making
We have really embraced the sunshine this week and had everyone out for cocktail making whilst soaking up the rays! It was lovely to get out and feel the warmth and enjoy a gin or two!
St Patrick's Day Meal
St Patricks day was enjoyed by our Irish couple as they had a lovely meal shared together with their family.
Comic Relief
For the second consecutive year, Allingham House joined to the celebrations of Red Nose Day, organising a Fundraising Coffee Morning. Residents, staff and families joined together on this very special event. I would like to thank everyone for their generosity, helping people across the UK and around the world live free from poverty, violence and discrimination, and supporting people with their mental health.
