Supporting Independence at Gateford Hill
Supporting peoples independence is something that we like to achieve at our home and it is different from person to person but no matter what the task, they all come with their own sense of accomplishment.
We have one person living with us at the moment who wanted to be apart of the team and help us where she can. We were only too delighted to have her help, and now she even has her own uniform that she loves.
International Nurses Day
We wanted to do something special to celebrate the amazing nurses that we have at Buckingham House care home. We all met outside for some refreshments and the home manager gave each of our nurses a gift to thank them for all the incredible work that they do.

Our nurses provide such great care for the people who live with us it was nice to have an opportunity to show them we they are valued. Thank to everyone who made this say special.

Trip to Tropical Birdland
We had a the most wonderful day trip to Tropical Birdland in Desford, Leicestershire. Only a short drive from out home we all thoroughly enjoyed the walk around. It was such a great experience getting to look at all the different species of birds, feeding them and even holding them for those who wished. To finish off when enjoyed a hot cuppa from the cafe and a delicious picnic our fantastic hospitality team had prepared for us.

We are thrilled to say that some of our balloons travelled as far as Kent (as notified by the local who found the balloon on their farm) Our Residents absolutely loved this creative activity and let’s just hope all those wishes come true! Thank you to our Lifestyle Team for making this such a memorable experience.
