Two people who live with us enjoyed a stroll around the grounds today in the sun. It is so lovely to have so much land for people to explore. They had a pleasant afternoon finishing it all off with refreshments and a nice chat.
At our Gardening Club this week , we decided to do some weeding and put some new plants in. The people living with us wanted more colour in the garden and so today we did just that. Everyone got involved and worked hard , after all their hard they enjoyed refreshments in the garden and now we must remember to water them every day .
We all know how good it is to move and our amazing trained lifestyle team at Buckingham House love hosting some fun and motivating movement classes for everyone to enjoy.
We had a fantastic entertainer in to Buckingham House who got all the people living with us singing along with him. He sang a great range of songs for us all that even got some people dancing, it was a great afternoon.
Who doesn't love cake and here at Buckingham House we love to give the people living with us a freshly baked cake for their birthday. Each cake being as unique as the people living with us.
We were delighted to welcome Molly from The Alzheimer's Society Research to collect a cheque from everyone at The Hawthorns. We raised £400 from an Easter Raffle and a Spring Fate that we held recently. To celebrate we arranged refreshments and awesome Cup Cakes for the residents and staff. Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon and Molly was delighted to except the cheque. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this cause.
The people living at the home wanted to do some flower arranging, which they really enjoyed this whilst having a cup of tea listening to music.
