Lavender Bags
Residents spent the morning making lavender bags today. They stripped the lavender off the plant then filled the lavender bags that had been previously sewn. They loved the smell of lavender, and it reminded them of days they used to spend in their gardens and green houses. The residents were so engaged with the activity and there was lots of reminiscing, chatting and smiles. One of our ladies even enjoyed using the sewing machine again!

Reminiscence Cafe
Over the past few Mondays we have created a Reminiscence café. The people living with us can come enjoy refreshments and snacks and talk about a specific topic. This weeks topic was beach days and the experiences that we had. We spoke about days at the beach that we remembered with our families. One of the ladies that lives with us her daughter joined us for the session which was lovely to hear her memories too.

Arts and Crafts
People living with us picked out an animal that they wanted to paint, each animal had pieces that needed to be painted separately. Once the paint was dry , we then had to fix them together to make up our animals. We got quite messy but we did not mind as the Owls, Swans, Birds, Ducks and Peacocks that were made were amazing.

Just Bowl
We were delighted to receive our Just Bowl kit to the home and everyone was so excited to get involved. There were so great scores and we are looking forward to trying to beat them next time.

Carnival Time...

The main aim of the charity is to raise enough funds to build a centre in the UK, similar to the one Emmett visited in America funded by Make
