International Nurses Day at Parksprings

One of our very talented staff member's at Parksprings Care Home got creative and celebrated International Nurses Day on Tuesday 12th May by drawing the nurses at the home.

Thank You Letter

We received a lovely thank you letter this week.

"I`d like everyone at Hope Green to know how immensely grateful I am for everything that you have all done to ensure that my mother`s last years were healthy and happy.

Despite me living so far away, and only having been able to visit the North of England once or twice a year, I can remember on my every single visit to Hope Green being aware of the hard work, patience, kindness and concern exhibited by each and every one of the staff .

International Nurses Day at Barnes Court

International Nurses Day is an important day for the Barnes Court family, a Care Home based on Wycliffe Road in Sunderland run by Mandy Mackley.  Every year she likes to celebrate her staff in the home and this year with such challenging times is no exception, but this year Mandy wanted to start early so arranged for different treats to come each week as a thank you to the staff for their hard work, dedication and support to the home.

Tat Fresh Skin Care

A big thank you to the guys from Tat Fresh Skin Care who dropped off some of their skin balm at both Hope Green and Carmel Lodge. The staff really appreciated the kind thought.

Ste & Danny have also been donating balm to the NHS. Ste said "It was brought to our attention that repeated washing of hands has caused dry skin, cuts and 'burn like' injuries to our vital NHS and care home staff so they decided to help. So far the lads have donated over 1000 balms to members of NHS & care staff for free."

Easter Cards

Easter this year was a little different to other years at Belmont House Care Home in Starbeck, Harrogate but we also wanted to make it memorable for our families who were unable to visit our residents.

We thought it would be nice for family members to receive a card from their loved one wishing them a Happy Easter and letting them know that they are all doing well and are looking forward to being together again at the end of this current situation.

By A Thread Support Bands

Thank you to  local company By a Thread who have made and donated these multi coloured mask supports to both Bowerfield House and Bowerfield Court.

VE Day Celebrations

We were blessed with beautiful weather for VE day and so we took our celebrations into our gardens to celebrate with a garden party.

We decorated the inside of Brunel House and of course outside, with bunting, photographs and garden games. We served afternoon tea, listened to music and played lots of lawn games. It was a perfect day.

Visor Delivery

Thank you so much to Alison Hunter from Imperial College and Dr Alex Fergusson visiting lecturer from FAC Technology for their generous donation of washable face visors for staff at Ashmead Care Centre. Alison, along with help from Karin and Mark hand assembled all the visors, which when delivered provided a huge morale boost to our nurses and carers. We can’t thank you enough for choosing to support Ashmead Care Centre and our staff with this essential equipment as we continue to care for our residents.
