Dough Craft
Residents at Heeley Bank have been involved in dough craft. We thought it would be a great activity for everyone to get involved with. The residents like making things, they have made the dough themselves, it is very simple to make using just flour, salt and water mixed together well to make a thick dough ready for shaping and moulding.

Modelling with Saltdough
Fantastic time this afternoon modelling with saltdough at Heeley Bank. Wonderful bright colours and lots of enthusiasm from our resident artists.

Origami at Heeley Bank
The residents of Heeley Bank Care Home were treated to an interesting insight into the ancient art of origami as part of their activity planner.
Residents enjoyed learning about the traditional Japanese art of paper folding with many of them creating simple yet lovely origami birds and hearts.

Flower Arranging at Heeley Bank
The green fingered residents at Heeley Bank recently got their hands dirty creating some pretty bouquets.
There were a variety of different flowers available for the residents to choose from, ranging from White Roses, Blue Periwinkles and Green Fern Leaves.

Creative Artwork
Local children took the time to create artwork and send letters to cheer up everyone at Heeley Bank during lockdown. The residents really liked the colourful pictures and the kind words.

Gardening Indoors
Our residents and staff enjoyed a spot of gardening indoors at Carmel Lodge Care Home. It got a little competitive and people living with us are having a guess on who's sunflower will grow the tallest.

Our Staff Go Above and Beyond
"We as a family think we should put pen to paper to praise the staff at Heritage Care Centre in Tooting. Bec, Desiree, Sylvana, Aminata and Melinda need a particular mention. It is one thing to drop in the occasional box of chocolates or biscuits but we feel that the difference they are making, especially during these most testing of times, deserves to be recognised fully.

Happy Birthday to our Manager
It was our manager Kier's birthday and the residents and staff team at Buckingham presented him with a t shirt to the "Best Home Manager Through COVID 2020".
Its only our view of course, but we all agreed that Kier's influence, support and guidance has made this whole experience so much more positive. Thank you Kier

Sewing with Pauline
Pauline moved into Monread Lodge in April for some respite as she had not been coping so well on her own. She still wanted to eventually try and go home as much as she loved being at Monread. Pauline decided to try and go home in June but she realised that she needed the tender loving care that she had received back at Monread Lodge and 6 hours later, she was back with us. One thing she missed was her sewing so we collected many items from her house to enable her to do this.

Chocolate Day
It was world chocolate day and we indulged in over twenty different varieties of chocolate tasting, served with a mixture of herbal teas. Residents loved the social afternoon and the theme linked songs and some requests along the way. A great afternoon for all at Cavendish Court.
