Birch Heath Lodge Afternoon Tea Parties

Nestled in a sleepy, yet oh so beautiful village in the Cheshire countryside, is Birch Heath Lodge, Christleton. We don’t let a pandemic stop us having fun so, every few weeks, we have an afternoon party. This is time for the residents and staff to relax and enjoy each other’s company and sing our hearts out.  There is always lots of laughter, clapping and swinging our pants.

Amber Court's Hawaiian Theme Day

On Wednesday 12 August, Amber Court had an Hawaiian Theme Day.  Residents and staff dressed in grass skirts, leis and bright colours.  Hawaiian music was playing and everyone enjoyed an Hawaiian style buffet.  Marianne, Activities Coordinator taught staff how to dance to the Huki Lau and Pearly Shells which are traditional Hawaiian dances, learned during her time working onboard cruise ships and Staff Nurse Patience taught us an island dance.  Residents also enjoyed watching staff members Kath, Alice and Callum expertly do the hoola hoop.

Abingdon Court welcomes back visitors

We were excited to welcome our first visitors back to Abingdon Court on 6th July.

We decorated our lovely garden to ensure residents and families enjoyed their visits and we also decorated the reception area so families and friends could see see how much we have missed them.

We are lucky to be able to continue to welcome visits from friends and families who have been so understanding of the different rules now in place.

Windmill Court are winners at Care Awards

Residents and staff of Windmill Court Care Home were celebrating after their colleague Jemma Hartley won the award for the “Most Innovative Activities Programme” at the recent Maria Mallaband Care Group and Countrywide Care Homes Annual Care Awards.  It was a double celebration as Mark Langridge was also a finalist in “Maintenance Person of the Year”

Belmont Gifts

We love creating our own gifts here at Belmont Care Home and thought it would be a lovely idea to make bracelets for birthday gifts in Park Suite.  We had a few different boxes with beads, glass balls and colourful stones and started to create our own designs.

Here is Robert, in the process of creating his own design.  We hope the birthday girl likes it.
