International Woman's Day

International Women’s Day is a day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women all over the world whilst also calling for equality - where men and women are treated the same. We have some wonderful men and women in our care home who in turn have amazing women in their lives in the form of wives, daughters, daughter in laws, sisters or friends. Here are some messages of love and appreciation from our residents that they wanted to relay to the wonderful women in their lives ...

Preparing The Sanctuary

Our residents at Buckingham House have been busy preparing our Sanctuary - Demebtia Garden. We've made the most of the sunny day to repot some of our beautiful flowering places.

Alice's 105th Birthday

We celebrated Alice's 105th Birthday at Troutbeck. Alice was still doing yoga at 100 years old. Congratulations to Alice on such a marvellous age.

Spring Notice Board

Who loves our bright and colourful spring notice board? This will definitely bring the sunshine indoors for us all to see.

British Pie Week at Manorhey

To celebrate British Pie week here at Manorhey we prepped and baked our favourite pies including chicken and leek, cheese and onion and a meat pie. We must say they were lovely and we really enjoyed them, cheese and onion was the chosen favourite of the day.

A brand new care home is coming to Great Malvern

Sitting against the stunning backdrop of the Malvern Hills and nestled at the heart of the community it will serve, Windsor Court, our newest home under construction in Great Malvern, is an exciting prospect!

Flower Arranging

Flower arranging is a favourite creative group activity at Cedar Court. Not only do we enjoy the tea and chatter, the results are always beautiful.

Spring Flowers!

Today we decided as spring is nearly here that we would create our very own take on it. We created these stunning rainbow daffodils; everyone chose how to decorate them and create very beautiful flowers. We were all amazed how wonderful they looked and everyone thoroughly enjoyed creating them.

Imagination Art

We decided today we would have a day of imagination art; I gave the residents numerous items to use whilst using their imagination to create their very own artwork. This worked a treat as it gave them the opportunity to be very creative and use their imaginations to create beautiful art for the home and their rooms.

Flowers

One of our residents received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her husband which she was so thrilled about. It also gave her an opportunity to recall how much she enjoyed being in her garden, she recalls the memory of how beautiful they smelt and looked as she strolled in her garden, this bought back fond memories for her.
