Birthday Celebrations at Wyndham House

Theresa was overjoyed at the numerous cards, flowers and gifts she received from family and friends which made her birthday so special.  The beautiful ombre birthday cake made by our very talented Head Chef Sam was just the icing on the cake, so to speak, as the celebrations lasted all day.

Keeping Busy

We might not be getting out and about or having as many visitors as usual but it's still busy at Princess Lodge. Pam continues to enjoy her weekly manicure whilst friends like to get together to socialise over a jigsaw.

Easter Preparations

We started Easter preparations early to ensure we were able to make all of our own Easter cards. It was a busy time but spurred on by tea and cake, Cynthia and Pamela did a fantastic job.

Springing Into Spring

It was a beautiful Spring day to be able to enjoy the sunshine at Hope Green and it was great to chat together about things that are important to us. Some residents contributed to our spring craft of butterflies  and flowers with inspirational thoughts too. How wonderful to spot butterflies in our garden whilst out walking and talking. We're really looking forward to enjoying the garden more over the next few months.

The BIG 786Miles for ARUK

The Big Challenge was completed with miles left to spare at Kents Hill Care Home last week.

The residents, staff, relatives and local community all came together to reach the target of 786miles for Alzheimer's Research.

A huge well done to all for your hard work.

Enjoying The Garden

As the recent Spring weather has been so sunny and mild the people who live and work at Brunel House have been making the most of the beautiful sheltered gardens. Louisa, one of our lovely hostess team took a stroll with Roy and John.

Quarry Hill

At Brunel House we are continuing to our trips to the local area, keeping to Covid restrictions. Our last trip was to Quarry Hill. It was a beautiful clear spring day and the views of the famous Box tunnel were stunning. We are extremely lucky to have this on our doorstep.

KEMP Hospice gin tasting, in partnership with Wildjac Home Grown Distillery

We always enjoy supporting our local hospice, KEMP, who partnered with Wildjac Home Grown Distillery, based in the Wyre Forest to being a fantastic gin tasting experience to the homes of many.  Our residents thoroughly enjoyed this activity, in the knowledge they they were supporting our local community whilst having so much fun!.

Sunshine sunflowers

Those living at The Wharf Care Home have been enjoying the sunshine, planting sunflowers. Whose will grow the tallest is going to get very competitive whilst all good fun!. For those not outside we took the sunflowers to them.  Sunflowers bringing happiness inside and out.
