Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny made an appearance at Kings Manor over the weekend, he brought all the people living at the home a lovely Easter Egg and much joy as he hopped around. The team at Kings Manor also got involved by dressing up, using hair chalks, and even used their vocals on the karaoke machine. Huge thanks to Ottery St Mary Primary School who sent in some lovely Easter bags for the people at the home, they were thrilled to receive them, thank you so much.

Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers

The people who live at Kings Manor love to make the floral arrangements that are used in our restaurants. Each week the activities have a selection of flowers, sometimes from the gardens at the home that are then prepared and turned into some beautiful centre pieces for all at the home to enjoy.

Spring is on its way at Kings Manor Care Home

Spring is well on its way at Kings Manor Care Home, having our own gardener on staff allows for a very hands on approach to the development of the gardens and also to support anyone at the home who has a passion for gardening. There has been a lot of planting recently at the home and much excitement as everything is starting to grow.

Robotic Pets

We are proud to welcome our PURRRFECT pets to Buckingham House. We have introduced some of these lifelike tabby cats for some of our residents to enjoy. The people who have one of the cats are enjoying the lifelike robotic felines who purr their way through the day.

St George's Day at Clarendon

We had a great St George's Day here at Clarendon, residents inside and outside the garden were reminiscing with music and songs. We had some great vocals with the mic from some of our residents.

Wyndham V Abingdon Sunflower Competition

Wyndham Hall laid down the gauntlet to our sister home Abingdon Court to grow the tallest sunflower. Planting started in earnest this week with the staff team joining forces with the people who live at Wyndham. Wish us luck and may the best sunflower win.

Our Hairdresser Is Back!

Buckingham House welcomed back the hairdresser with cheers and lots of smiles as she has been incredibly missed throughout the COVID-19 restrictions. Sometimes its the little things in life that can make a big difference and she definitely is a cut above the rest! The smile on the residents faces when they saw the results were worth their weight in gold.

St George's Day At Buckingham House

St George's Day was celebrated with pride at Buckingham House. A day to celebrate the country's heritage.

Rise and Shine

We had a beautiful morning, with games all around the residents really enjoyed waking up to music and games, it sets off a great vibe for the rest of the day watching everyone hitting the balloon to one another really has benefited them and us.

St George's Day Celebration at Hope Green

What a wonderful St George's Day celebration we had at Hope Green. Waving hand held flags to lots of great music and singing created a very uplifting atmosphere. It was like a last night The Proms! To make it complete we decorated the social areas with red and white bunting, filled the air with bubbles and danced together. Our kitchen team served up fish and chip lunch in the dining room and even made their own sticky toffee pudding for everyone. A thoroughly enjoyable day all round.
