VE Day Celebrations at Windmill Court
On hearing of the residents' request for burgers to be served at the street party to mark the 76th year anniversary of VE Day, local butcher Gary Dutton very kindly donated some home made burgers for the event which everyone really enjoyed.

Queen's Birthday Celebrations
We celebrated the Queen's birthday in style at the home with a royal quiz and afternoon tea. We enjoyed homemade cakes made by our chef and fresh cream cakes all which were yummy. We can't wait for the Queen's second birthday, Trooping the Colour in June.

VE Day at Willowdene
We had a lovely day at the home celebrating VE Day and reminiscing about the stories we had heard and remembered ourselves during the Second World War. We had afternoon tea to celebrate the day and decorated the home and enjoyed music and quizzes.

Donated Books
We had a lovely morning of crafts this morning. The wonderful books were donated by Funnybones Books, which is a company run by one of our residents daughters. She held a fundraising event and purchased the books to donate to the home. Thank you so much, we all loved them.

Care Practitioners
We were delighted when two of our team completed their Care Practitioners course especially during the challenges the pandemic sent us. Well done to Andrew and Richard who have already signed up the further progress their careers in care on the Nurse Associate course.

Higher and Lower
We love our games shows and competitions here at Rose Lodge and after seeing a game of Higher and Lower and hearing how interactive our residents were we thought we would create our own version. The shouts of higher and lower could be heard throughout the home as they laughed and cheered each other on.
