Pamper
Ann had a lovely pamper this afternoon listening to Mozart whilst enjoying a relaxing hand massage.
Chinese Themed Day
We decided we would have a Chinese themed day. Our wonderful chef came up with a very tasty menu for our residents, which they all really enjoyed. We then made Chinese lanterns to decorate the dining room tables and the residents seemed to find this very enjoyable. Everyone had a lovely day.

Sequin Sensory Board
We have been donated a lovely sequin sensory board for our residents here at Clumber Court. We would like to say a big thank you to Lifetime Education for donating it, especially a lady called Natalie for thinking of us. The residents love the feel of it and the bright colours that appear when they move their hand across the board.
Pen Pals at The Prep School
Hope Green residents carefully chose some of their favourite crafts from our Garden Project to send to pen pals at the Prep School and we included a few messages too about their creations. We included a short letter to be read out to the children letting them know that we had been thinking about them and what we had been getting up to since we last received their lovely package in the post. We're hoping they will really enjoy them and that it won't be long before they reply as we love to hear about their adventures in Prep School.

Outside Activities
Our residents took advantage of the lovely weather and enjoyed some outside activities. Bunny ears always causes a stir and the laughter can be heard all through the home.

Acts of Kindness
Treat everyone with politeness and kindness, not because they are nice, but because you are.
Well done to one of our residents here at Appletree Court, who sent a condolence card to the Queen she said how sorry she was for the loss of her husband Prince Philip and her thoughts and prayers go out to her family, she also said he nearly made it to a 100 which is a great achievement. To our surprise the Queen sent a reply back which made the resident very happy!
Mardi Gras Decorations
Residents helped make colourful Mardi Gras shakers from empty Pringles tubes, cardboard rolls and paper towel tubes. They were decorated with free wallpaper samples, coloured feathers, flowers, butterflies and beads. They were then filled with dried rice. Betty helped to make giant colourful tissue papers flowers for display at the party.

Faye's Gardening
Faye is making the most of this glorious weather, she loves gardening and has done a great job weeding the flower beds today. She said she was in her element, and as her next job she would like to paint the roof white. She has lots of great ideas for home and garden improvement and an abundance of energy to match.
