
Father's Day
On the occasion of Father’s Day we gathered the fathers at Coplands for a get together before lunch, they had opportunity to speak with each other and we offered them some snacks and chilled juices. They enjoyed the party with music. Everyone had a great day celebrating their fathers.

Garden Party
On 16th June 2021 Coplands Nursing Home celebrated their Summer fete party with residents, residents families and members of staff. A meeting, lunch with refreshments and entertainment was organised. Staff wore their traditional dress and summer dress. The residents and the resident’s family enjoyed the event.

Garden Activities
Colouring is known to offer many benefits such as encouraging relaxation and lowering stress and anxiety levels. It can be done by anyone and it's a hobby you can take anywhere, including the garden. It's even more enjoyable when you are joined by friends.

Fun in The Sun at Deepdene
During the warmer weather you can't keep us out of the garden. Sunshine and cocktails are the perfect partners as is a game or two of table tennis or card games.

Making and Decorating Rice Shakers
Today our residents at Mary Chapman enjoyed making and decorating rice shakers. They were all colourful for our bhangra dancing on Thursday as India is our next stop on our travels around the world, we are all so excited.

National Cupcake Day
Today at Acorn House we celebrated National Cupcake Day by making our own cupcakes. After baking them in the morning, residents enjoyed decorating them. Needless to say they went down really well and were very much enjoyed by everyone for afternoon tea.

Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day
In support of the Alzheimer's society dementia cupcake day, today we had a lovely coffee morning with delicious cupcakes some of which were donated by a student from Poynton high school who during lockdown turned her passion for baking into a small business. We finished the morning with a fun singalong.

Summer Board
Today we updated our board, we changed it from spring to summer, we decorated it with beautiful flamingos, palm trees and ice lollies. Lets bring on summer. Residents enjoyed looking at all the pretty bright colours.

Smoothie Making
As part as the national nutrition and hydration week 2021, we at Manorhey enjoyed some healthy smoothies, made with our favourite fresh fruit. Residents got involved by chopping the fruit as part of the preparation for the smoothies. The residents felt lovely and refreshed and enjoyed the different variations of fruit.

CDs
We have been given some new CDs by a friend of Troutbeck Care Home and will enjoy listening to these later today. With eight CDs to choose from there should be something for everyone to enjoy.
