Denim For Dementia Fundraising Day
Here at Abingdon Court we believe it is important to keep engaged with the local community. We have had great pleasure working with a local dementia café run by Dementia Friendly Abingdon, who do great work with those living with dementia in the local area. To raise money, we held a 'Denim For Dementia Day’, asking staff to donate £1 to wear their favourite denim and everyone living at Abingdon was encouraged to wear denim also! We managed to raise £50 for the charity and are delighted to be able to help out such a fantastic local cause.
Pamper and Petals
Our Residents love a pamper, even some of the men do too. This was an afternoon of foot spas, sweets, manicures, Petals and a lot of Fairy Lights for the finishing touch.

School Reminiscing
Our Reminiscing Monday theme today was Schools. The residents looked at the photos and talked about their own experiences at school, bringing up some funny memories to share with the group. Some residents had similar stories to share while others were happy listening and taking it all in. They discussed the school days for nearly 2 hours. You can imagine the giggles we shared together.
