World Photo Day
The residents joined last month to the celebrations of World Photo Day. The residents really enjoyed taking pictures of another resident in their favourite places all around Allingham House. One of the most popular places was our garden with all the beautiful flowers that we have this time of the year.

Arts and Crafts
We have been doing a number of crafts at Troutbeck including personalized button bags and silohette pictures. Residents have thoroughly enjoyed the crafting.

Play Your Cards Right
We had an afternoon of 'Play Your Cards Right' wow, not as easy as you think, don't think the cards were kind to us today, but we had lots of fun and plenty of laughs along the way.
Teddy Bear Picnic
Today residents are enjoying a ‘Teddy Bear picnic’ complete with hand crafted teddy bears and a beautiful China tea set.

Garden Centre Trip
Some of those living with us at Buckingham House enjoyed a lovely trip out to a local garden centre in Bourne End recently.
In addition to looking at all of the wonderful flowers and plants on display, we enjoyed a cup of tea and delicious slice of cake in their cafe.

Olympic Fever
As July came around, our home was hit with a case of Olympic fever. Eyes glued to the TV’s as we gawp with pride at the fantastic Olympians from all across the globe, as they compete for coveted titles in sports which have provided entertainment and joy for those who live here, for their entire lives.

Patisserie Masterclass - Macarons
In the spirit of France and to celebrate Bastille Day, we tried our hand at baking our own French patisserie in the form of Macarons!

Abingdon Airlines departing to France!
As part of our Summer Armchair Travel series, we all boarded Abingdon Airlines to take a tour of France!
We enjoyed some French bread with some classic soft French cheeses, washed down with a gorgeously refreshing French white wine. We enjoyed the sounds of traditional a French accordion as we imagined cruising down the river Seine.
Brave The Shave at Belmont
Friday 20th August at Belmont House Care Home we hosted a very special event, Bradlee Whittaker, a health care assistant at Belmont House Braved the Shave for Macmillan cancer support. Special guests, the Mayor and the Mayoress of Harrogate took part in the afternoons entertainments. We don’t have a final figure yet but on the afternoon we had got to over £820, we will announce the final figure soon. A very big well done to Bradlee who provided the highlight of a lovely afternoon for our residents, families and staff.
