Halloween Party at Birch Heath

For the Halloween Party we had Entertainment from one of our regular Entertainers. The kitchen team created a Halloween lunch and made a Halloween high tea with spooky cakes and desserts for everyone to enjoy. We also played Games and finished the day with a bit of karaoke.

Troutbeck's Halloween Celebrations

Here at Troutbeck we held a big celebration for Halloween and we were delighted with our Halloween display.

We had fun embellishing our pumpkins, we decided to make them sparkly and glamorous. Norma enjoyed jazzing up the pumpkins, she is always a great sport and enjoys getting involved at any opportunity.

Halloween Biscuit Making

Teamwork makes the dreams work, that will be the perfect definition to describe the amazing pumpkin shaped biscuits that the residents baked as part as one of the many activities that they enjoyed to celebrate Halloween. The biscuits were served later on with tea and coffee, all the residents agreed that they were delicious.

Trick Or Treat at Ashmead

Trick or Treat was in full swing during Halloween at Ashmead. The Activities team dressed appropriately and toured the whole home offering chocolate and biscuit bars on a specially decorated mobile trolley.

Cedar Court Residents created a lovely pair of 'Guys' for the Cranleigh Bonfire competition!

There is no end to the talents of our residents at Cedar Court, they take on every challenge set them!  They were very keen to take part in the Cranleigh competition for the best 'Guy' to be thrown on the local bonfire. Our residents who are living with dementia created the beautiful artwork with paper spinning wheels, which they all thoroughly enjoyed.  The 'Guys' were created by some of the people living at Cedar Court, assisted by Kathryn our activities assistant. A big thank you goes out to Kathryn’s parents for making the Paper Mache heads.

Homemade Vegetable Soup

Home cooking at its best! The residents made a fantastic homemade vegetable soup. They prepared all the vegetables, peeling carrots, chopping potatoes, pressing garlic and popping peas. Everyone took their time and the vegetables soon piled up in the cooking pot. The soup was delicious and was enjoyed for dinner.
