Donna's Charity Cut

Donna McDermott, Care Practitioner at Bowerfield Court, is donating her hair for wigs to be made for people with cancer. Kirsty Randall, Home Manager at Bowerfield Court and Bowerfield House, and Peter Baumber, a resident at Bowerfield Court, cut Donna's hair on Tuesday 15th December in front of residents, staff and relatives who joined via video call.

Donna is an amazing lady and has raised £600 so far with 24 hours still for people to donate. The money raised will be donated to The Princes Trust and the other half to be decided.

Christmas Crafts

Staff and residents have been getting festive with their Christmas crafts. Along with a Christmas wreath for the front door, they have made a Christmas brush family and painted festive pebbles for their pebble snake which is on display at the front of their home. All this topped off with the most amazing Christmas cake. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Elf Day

Staff and residents had such a fun time dressing up as elves for Elf Day -  helping to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. There were definitely a few naughty elves about!

Christmas Eve Bells

Today at Thorntree Mews, we made some bells for the Christmas jingle. Our residents are looking forward to being part of the big Christmas Eve Jingle, as we explained that people all over the world are taking part. So, everywhere at 6pm people will take part in a 2 minute ringing of the bells. Churches are taking part too.
