Celebrating D-Day 2021

This Sunday, 6 June will mark the 77th anniversary of the D-Day offensive in Normandy.

In preparation for our own celebrations, many of our residents’ enjoyed making paper planes using step by step guides and then of course seeing how far they could fly.

Card Of Thanks

Clarendon Court is a credit to the excellent management you both provide. All the staff have treated M with the dignity and respect he deserves. They have also been very helpful to me, it has been a very difficult time for me having to accept that I couldn't have him home because of his mobility issues. I can manage all other issues but with my spinal problem he wouldn't have been safe. It was lovely to be greeted by smiles and jokes.

Rachel, Helen, Karen, Hollie and Charley, many thanks for all your help given to me whilst I have been visiting M at Clarendon Court.

Seasonal Food

What an amazing event!!

As summer is quickly approaching, we are also adapting our seasonal menu. However, as always at Buckingham House we did it in style. One of the topics highlighted during our resident’s council meeting was that they would like more variety on their summer menu. We ensure that we are #responsive to the needs and likes of our residents!

Blue and Muffin

Blue and Muffin are beautiful pets who live at Deepdene. They bring so much pleasure to everyone who lives and works at Deepdene, especially when they choose to join in with the activities.

Andy T Is Back!

Andy T is back! Andy has been entertaining all those who live and work at Brunel House for the last 6 years. We used to enjoy his company regularly as he was so popular and we are all so happy he is now back. The reaction when he arrived said it all.

African Day

25th May was Africa Day and we celebrated in style. From traditional costumes and food, to dancing, games and African music. We had a great time.

Garden Games

Afternoon garden games for all, complete with ice creams, lemonade, music and laughter. Judith is getting ready for Wimbledon.

Time For A Cuppa

The residents and the staff joined together to celebrate 'Time For A Cuppa' last week, a fundraising event to raise money for Dementia UK and support families facing Dementia. Cupcakes decorated with edible butterflies were baked by Pam from Admin team while the kitchen staff provided us with cheesecake and fresh scones with clotted cream and jam. I would like to thank everyone for their collaboration and generosity making this day very special.

Outside Cabaret

We were waiting for a special day here at Clarendon, an outside cabaret with one of our most popular artiste. The stage was set up and the chairs was arranged. Once the show began Robert didn't disappoint, treating us to a superb afternoon of entertainment our residents really enjoyed. We look forward to out next show.

Arm Chair Travel to The Beach

Today we did arm chair travel and our residents went to the beach! We did a virtual tour of Cromer, Sheringham and Southwold, built sand castles, made our very own beach sandals, played beach volleyball, had chance to feel a range of interesting beach shells and paint our own sea side postcard. The residents all chose activities that they most wanted to do and including a fish and chip lunch, fun was had by everyone.
